You might not want to read the novel. There are parts I would rather not know. I loved TPR by focusing on the present and not what was done in the previous life. I read one additional chapter to the novel and wished I had not. I had block it from my head. But Jin Mai and ZLH made that easy because they made me love the main couple. There is a chapter I would suggest you read that was missing from the drama. But there was a scene in the drama showing that LR was dressed as a Persian dancer in her previous life but it didn't go into detail.
