I am reading about the ending. I just want to say I will always love this couple. Zhang Jing Yi is one of the most natural actresses. I love her style. She is not afraid to embrace her costar or cuddle. How many times have we seen FLs who just stand there while the ML kisses her or runs away after a kiss.? And in the show Lu Xiao treats Nan Chu as if she is special. All the times he would fix her belt and uniform jacket with that serious look on his face made me smile. I will miss them😭

I agree! With historicals I am usually wary but o expect modern romance to be happy. The same thing happened with You Are Desire which I dropped once I heard. I was only on ep 16 and not as invested as I am with Bright Eyes in the Dark. I love this couple!

There is an extra episode in the book with a wedding. We have to believe he did not die.
