For me I loved that the FL was smart and dressed well in Forever Love.

He has one coming out with Esther Yu. It is called Sword and Fairy. He has three others. I don't know why they keep putting him with older women. I didn't watch She and Her Perfect Husband. I heard the ending was disappointing.

After they way they got back together in college and were so good together, why would they have an open ending? Does anyone know how it ended in the book? I am going to drop it if the ending is not totally happy.

Did the couple stay together at the end? I thought I read somewhere that they went their own way.

I am going to name some that you might not have seen. They are not necessarily my favorite but they have something in that made me like them and no sad endings:

3. Time and Him Are Just Right
4. Unforgettable Love (really cute little boy)
5. My Eternal Star
6. Le Coup de Foudre (youth to adult. It reminds me of Forever Love because it goes back to tell the story of how they met to the present)
7. Here We Meet Again
8. Romance of the Little Forest ( I enjoyed watching this couple. There were parts were I laughed and other parts that were so sweet. The setting also takes you to the FL's hometown so you get the feel of Meet Yourself)
9. Midsummer Full of Love
10. Please Be My Family
11. Crush

I listed some you might not have heard of that I liked. Shows such as Lighter and Princess and Hidden Love are not that common. Cannot find any just like these too.

Did you see Fireworks of My Heart yet?

For me Xu Kai is what makes me want to watch and I started the book.

Have you seen Forever Love? It is a high school the first 6 episodes then college, then career or some career during college. You will not be disappointed.

I have them all too.Rewatch Lighter and Princess. It will pull you out of our disappointment.

I wait till I am done to review. It goes the other way too. People left ratings of 1 on Hidden Love after one episode just as it came out. That makes no sense. I am on ep 16 of You Are Desire and it is sweet so far. The couple are good together. I am not sure what happened after for you to be disappointed but I know the feeling when this happens.

Are you it is rated high on Douban because it is a Cattree drama?

@xiaonan It is not a matter of it being my "cup of tea." You can like many different romance dramas and not rate them all 10's. WIFTY is a sweet show but it lacks emotional depth. There was nothing more to it than a light sweet romance mostly set in high school. The FL does not show any character growth from when the show started. This is not a masterpiece.
My original comment was in response to a member who basically said she started watching WIFTY because of the high rating but she is bored. You do realize that people went from HL to WIFTY expecting to feel the same after watching HL and they are disappointed They are wondering why the rating for WIFTY is a 9. I gave HL a 10. There is no way I would give WIFTY a 10 even though I liked it. I am entitled to my opinion so I don't know why you feel the need to tell me "be careful when commenting stuff like just because ist is not your cup of tea it doesn't mean others r the same too." Where did I say others must feel the same?

People keep recommending WIFTY right after HL. They are both sweet but the essence of HL is much more than sweet. To those who ask, I recommended Lighter and Princess. I am not saying I did not like WIFTY. It is certainly great if you just want a a light high school romance.

This drama picked up for me by ep 10 and now I am on ep 16, I really like it. But now I am reading comments about the final episode. I hope I am not going to be disappointed.

From what I read, 6.7 is high for a modern romance drama on Douban. Lovely Us got a higher rating than Lighter and Princess. This is a sign that I should not go by Douban ratings to gauge how much I might like a show. I read that Go Ahead had a higher rating before it introduced the romance. FOMH got low ratings due to aspects not in keeping with certain values.

I heard about Douban rating when Fireworks of My Heart was showing. From what I gathered, it was getting low ratings on Douban. I was under the impression that Douban rating is a reflection of a conservative point of view and will rate anything low that is not a good reflection of values they want portrayed.

I keep hearing about Twenty Five Twenty One but I don't like sad endings. I watched one Kdrama that started out funny and got serious then when I thought they would finally have their happily ever after, the ML was killed on his way to meet her. Then it went to 2 years after and he appears in a field and I am thinking , is this a dream? I was so mad with that show. I regret watching it.

I googled Cattree to see why that would cause a drama to have a high rating. I didn't find anything.
