I think that the show still has to answer those questions in the span of the 9 remaining episodes.

What about the death of ML's father?
=> Na Zhan killed ML's father to take the throne.
What about the death of ML's mother, was it really during childbirth?
=> She really died from childbirth.
How was launched the arrow strike that killed the FL's mother?
=> The Tanpei's head eunuch colluded with Na Zhan and ordered manslaughter instead of rescue mission.
What are the collusions and the spy networks in Massui and Tanpui?
=>
Massui : New city Lord ( Bei Shuang's uncle) colluded with Na Zhan.
Tanpui : Head eunuch colluded with Na Zhan.
How will FL take revenge on Na Zhan?
=> ML will take revenge on FL's behalf on Na Zhan.
Will FL kill Na Zhan? Will she set a honey trap?
=> Will the wedding with SML be held to lure Na Zhan, Maybe.
Will FL uncover the truth about her mother's death?
=> ML told her that Na Zhan is the mastermind behind her mother's death.
Will FL will succeed in avoiding having sex with Na Zhan?
=> YES she did, what a releave.
Will SML finally ditch SFL?
=> He tried his best but couldn't succeed, wait and watch.

=> They are best friend, wait and watch.

=> Yes, he already did on FL's bed and SFL stopped him.
Will there be a war ? Who will launch the war?
=> It could be Na Zhan, wait and watch.
Will SML and SFL flush out the sleeping spies in Massui?
=> Yes they did by jailling the former city lord.
Will ML and FL end up together?
=> I have hope, Wait and watch.

By episode 21 many plot points I was interested about, have been resolved.

Sex scene in a c-drama what ???

The flirting finally begun on episode 11. I hope you liked the drama. The ending was similar to what I expected but also feared.

Some actors cannot touch a partner properly in a drama/movie. Whether it is because they are shy or gay ( or prefer the other genre ).
Once upon a time, I spotted a famous actor in several movies and the way he was touching the FL was very awkward. I learned later that he is very very very shy. He can blush easily on set.
So this actress should better avoid romance drama if it doesn't fit her or work her on acting skills to be believable. That would do a great service to her.

Mortal enemies to partners in 3 episodes, haha great start.
who would train his own assassin, this is mind blowing. She was supposed to be a scapegoat, Now what ?
I could feel the angst. Nothing is what it seems. I am hooked.

I have been waiting for this drama for a longtime and I am not disappointed.
The first 3 episodes even exceed my expectations. (*_*)

indeed, I am curious to see how they will lure a clever antagonist like Na Zhan to get rid of him. I was suprised to see that she is still stubborn and did not comeback to ML.
That's unfortunate. Without ML's protection, SML will do whatever he wants to her.
I hope they end the story well without rushed ending or weir ending.

He doesn't need to say it. It will be obvious in his way to clutch her or take care of her. Something he never did until now.

We will see how he reacts when GXW is injured in the next episodes (supposedly). That will be the ultimate test.
I really don't think he will confess any love to her on that occasion.

He already left her in Na Zhan's palace to serve the 2nd princess ( the most dangerous place). He left her in a magicien's box and she ended up in a brothel.
And if you pay attention, since Bei Shuang is held hostage in Fantei (Massui), GXW complained that he does not look at her nor have sex with her. We saw GXW force a kiss wich was not reciprocated.

Him loving GXW would be a good trope of unrequited love becoming love but his actions don't seem to match that in my opinion.
To me, he kept GXW by he side because she is a princess and she is a good partner in crime. But not more.
Meanwhile she is obsessed with a marriage that will never take place.

I don't think he likes GXW. Because he tries to get rid of her everytime he has a chance. We will see. But I think that RW is just used to GXW.
I don't think he likes her because you don't put in predicament the person you like.
Bickering is something we are used to see in dramas. But even in "The Princess Royal" when FL wanted to get revenge on ML, she never abandon him in a dangerous place.

Does he love Bei Shuang? I don't think so, he just wants to get what he fancies. Bei Shuang is the most beautiful woman of the desert. I think that this plays an important part in his attraction to Bei Shuang. In addition to her eyes. I don't forget that he was a thief, he is used to steal the most valuable things. Hence, stealing Bei Shuang.
She is like a trophy wife in his eyes, in my opinion. He might not like her but he desire her that's for sure.

RW should have impersonated Na Zhan's brother when he was little. Which should be the Male Lead : Qing Yun .
Because ML's master said that the boy with the plum mark saved ML. And RW is ML's master nephew.
Maybe a brother from Qi Da's concubine ? ML is the legitimate son from his first wife, born in the desert.

ML should be the right ful heir of Yunpei, the cousin of Tanpui's city lord (in wheelchair) because he said that the late Tanpui city lord was his uncle. So the one ML calls brother is in fact his cousin.
ML has Tanpui's milltary power, so he should be like a general/ crown prince in my opinion.

Bei Shuang is not powerful enough to resist a city lord on her own.
So I don't think she has a say in this matter. Moreover in the credit Ge Xin Wei is threatening Bei Shuang with a sword. I suppose that all this is link to this wedding topic. Ruo Wen might have forced Bei Shuang to marry him and Ge Xin Wei is so obsessed with marrying Ruo Wen.
I think that her jealousy flared up.

I am not sure that this guy is only interested in Bei Shuang's eyes. Because he told her : " you are the only woman who understands me"
and he wanted to take the city of Massui and give it to Bei Shuang. Ge Xin Wei begged him to give the city to her instead.
So I think that this marriage is real.
