I had a similar experience ( no COVID19 involved) with a neighbour aswell, whose husband died after falling from a ladder at 95 year old. He was a charpenter and he did not want to retire, so he worked like a handyman from time to time.
When he died she followed him around 3 months later. She was 92 years old. Maybe she didn't want to live anymore.
