You are absolutly right. This is the first time I have seen a show where the FL is kind of "two timing" ML with SML. And yes, the ending is the logical conclusion of the whole show. FL was more into SML than ML. Although, I thought at first that she was not in love with SML. At the end, I felt that she was angry at ML and yes, she was mourning SML for 15 years as his wife I dislike this ending. The chemistry was fire with ML. Why can she be faithful to ML. No, she has to end this drama as if she was in a "threeple". 1 platonic love + 1 sexualised love + 1 indecisive woman *sigh*

At some moments his glares were full of longing (in my opinion) and he always defends FL when the SML tries to diminish her or lock her in his residence. But, ever since he received the dragon fly( Ep 11 I think) he said that the pouch he purchased was for the lady who gave him that dragon fly and not for FL. So I am confused.
Strange ending. We spent our time rooting for ML and FL. We saw SML trying to interfere and at the very end, they leave us with that open ending? It is like SML became ML at the very end because FL seems more interested in mourning SML than ingetting along with ML. Weird Open Ending.

I personnaly find goblin cringy, because FL was petite and dressed in her uniform. So yes, Teenager vs Adult is problematic, indeed.
Concerning the trope : FL is just trying everything she can to make ML love her and marry her.
