Yes "love and bid fairwell" was a great drama but the ML was so dark ^^
He is marvellously portrayed by Yan Zi Xian who made me love this villain despite his ugly behaviours.

"Be your knight" is made with a beautiful eastetics.

I first fell in love with k-dramas. So yes ,most of the dramas I saw are k-dramas. I just begun watching c-dramas so I am still discovering :)

I would add that they purposefully dumb them down when they are intelligent characters to beggin with.
As soon as the strong and witty FL are in love they become weak and dumb. Their actions are completely nonsensical.
I was so pissed when seeing that, that I made myself a list of evergreen strong FL ( for personal confort, you know, to watch this when I am tired or in a bad mood)

I cannot give a proper opinion on it because I wanted to start it and I was snapped away by " love of nirvana " that I am in love with right now. So I procrastinated "Fateful love"

I understand you if those dramas interfered with your dreams they clearly traumatized you.

In the drama Female Lead breaks up with Male lead when she learns that he is a chaebol's heir. This is an analogy.

The people spreading mysogynistic comments and hateful speech are spamming several pages on MDL with always the same spiteful comments toward Female Leads.
They don't seem to understand reasonable explanations either.
They made up a narrative calling Male Lead a simp, just to hide their mysogynistic thoughts.

To conclude, don't expect to convince them.
I personally like the drama, it is sweet and entertaining.

Yes I do think he deserved forgiveness.
Because he was acting. FL knew from the start that she was sent to Shen Mansion to spy on him.
Logically she should have considered it earlier in the story. And respond to that by acting as well.
She is a professionnally clever woman but an emotionnally dumb one.

Luckily at the very end she understood that he was acting after the divorce. But still, she could not tame her arrogance and impulsiveness.

"The court scene she clarifies there 'if you enter the court without me ,we will never see each other again" ?
I think that it is again her arrogance speaking.
Shen Du did not let her in, just in case it went worst than expected , once again same trope " reject to protect". But she could not tame her arrogance and her ego and misundertood him...again.

I think that she always trusted Shen Du but she is hiding her emotions. To me all this is sulking.
If she really had a trust issue with Shen Du, she would have not ran after the marriage procession when her dad told her that Shen Du's groom procession had left.
To me she is just sulking.

You spent your time since day 1 bashing ML with your simp story in this forum.

Purposefully ignoring that ML and FL are in a relationship and they face a crisis due to the mother in law meedling in their pre existing love story.

Moreover, SML is always belittling FL, as if she was a fragile doll.
Meanwhile ML is seeing her strong and mighty.
ML is a better match for her although he is a red flag.

You are right. It is still a spoiler.
I heard that FL was in love with SML in the novel. But like I see it in the drama. FL doesn't seem to give amorous glares to SML. So I don't think she will fall in love with him. Moreover, now that she saw him put to people to death and now that he manipulated her by making her stabb him, just to stop her from leaving.

FL's only dream is freedom. I don't think she will develop any feelings for him.
She does not look at him with love but with distrust.

Yes ML said a lot of mean words but he had to conceal his thoughts to overturn his fathers case.
But FL said a lot of harsh words too. She acted pretentious and arrogant. And she did not have to do that. She does not have any logical reason to be mean and annoying.
Don't forget that: those two people hated each other from the start.

So, people could understand why Shen Du acted this way. In the world of spies he had to fake it. Even for FL's safety.
If Shen Du did not pretend to be mean, FL would have been murdered long ago. (they tried several times to kidnap and murder her)
They let her be because they thought that she was a spy and she did not get along with him.


As for the gifts, this is how it is done usually and it worked. The family accepted the betrothal gifts and married her off again to Shen Du.
Her family forced her to marry because they know that she is stubborn and impulsive. She would have never said yes and she would have regretted it when loosing Shen Du.

Had he asked for her forgiveness, would it be different?
He could not, because she refused to have any contact with him.
