I understand you. The Double is full of enchantment and poetry.
So much so, that I had a hard time parting from it after finishing it. I had to rewatch it right away.
The metaphor you use with childhood is very accurate.
The double left a feeling of sweetness in my heart. This is why I am longing for more.

Ok. Yes someone told me that TTEOTM has the best CGI he ever saw. This why I refered to it.

Luckily it is not a sad ending. Xianxia directors like sad endings. o.O

Indeed, there is enough pain and suffering in this world for those saddists ( directors and writers) to add more.
Depressed people could be triggered unfortunatly.
If they really like sad endings, they should also put a follow-up happy ending. Like they did in "Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol".

I have watched "jealousy incarnate" 4 times because it could happen in real life and I love the ending.
Evidently I love all the dramas I advised you to watch but this one is my favourite. You might like it. Let me know your thoughts when you watch it.
