I am happy despite all the trouble it faced domestically, the movie can have success worldwide.
I always wondered why korean audience sometime don't value their own movies or dramas domestically (average rating or failure). Fortunately international audience value them.
- This happened to "Scarlet heart Ryeo" with average rating domestically and awards + success worldwide ;
- or "The king's affection" with average ratings domestically but got an Emmy Award in New York + international success.
I don't understand why. Is it because they are tired of watching the same stories?
I don't think they cannot distinguish greatness. There must be something else at play : competition between networks or bad advertissement for the program.
After the filming being delayed by COVID-19 outbreak and all the time it took to finally air. I am happy to be able to watch that movie. And even happier to see international audience jump on it.
The drama name is "lost you forever". If it was about TJ, it would have another name.
Very well said. It is a bittersweet ending. At least XL and Xy spent some time toghether. XY keep the more precious memorie in the reminicing mirror. Those were XL's. If TJ was so important wouldn't he be featured in this mirror? In am just happy they could have some time together. <3

Given the title, it was not supposed to be a happy ending TJ was a companion. Sorry to TJ supporter but TJ is that extent was like a pet XL put next to XY, to accompany her. XL also put his life in danger to save TJ for this purpose. He also asked the merfolks to look after TJ's recovery when he was injured. For that mere reason. This is selfless love. TJ is a stand in, in this story. Because he didn't lost XY forever.
This why I also I like mary-sue/ Gary-sue type of characters. Those super heroes have a purpose. If I understood well, the writer used that super hero ML to emphasize the shortcomings regarding medical care in south Korea. *clapping*
I am very pleased to read about the drama and the original work in their context. Thanks for this article.
Mao saved Ando when they were young and Ando's been hopeless for her since then 🤞
You are welcome.
I still haven't watched episode 5 and 6. I will comeback to you later but I had the hunch this SFL would know they are together, let alone married. But she is the worst.
Ando is just the cutest. He seems a total green flag, contrary to SML. I liked the way he wondered if he was doing things well. It shows, he has the capacity to assess his own shortcomings. And this is very good. I am rooting for their love story.
My theory would be that : this could be related to food. I don't think he almost drowned and she saved him. That would be toextraordinary for a small woman like her. However, I remember that she told Ando that she was the cook for her family ( she could cook only family meals, you remember? This is why the ex despised her meals). So maybe Ando ate some poisonous berry or something and she gave him the antidote and to care of him. I would love to see a scene like that. her feeding him the soup ^^ And him sweating ^^
Im from ph; they introduce the cast with three main leads keifer (Andres) , jayjay (Ashtine) and Yuri (Rabin).…
"lmao hahaha I dont know where your ideas are coming from" Exactly. When crews adapt novels they can : change characters traits; remove characters ; add new characters ; make one character in the original work become 2 characters in the drama; change the ending .... There are so many examples. I am just waiting to see how they will portray the characters in the story. yes "Ill be laughing with you dear haha." That discussion stops here. Because evidently you believe you know everything before the official release.
I think it is about grades. It is explained when JayJay arrives at the school. Maybe also with the behaviour.
Thanks for the info. If this is what was in the book. They might have not followed the same storyline because, in the drama they did not portray her as eyeing Yuri , not even once. Instead, she developped a grudge against JayJay, supposedly because of her friend (Alix's love interest).
But weirdly, the grudge came after she saw Kiefer kissing JayJay at the playground. So I my opinion they might have changed the narrative there.
