The acting is marvelous and the plot is good, especially in the first half of the show.
I like rewatching the scenes.
I want to see if the writer did a bad job, like a lot of people say, or if those people are fans from the novel who vent their anger because JingHe was not evil enough and the romance was not toxic enough to their taste.

You know, the story in real life that I mentionned share the same basis as the drama. But the difference is that, I never knew about the inner story of the family. So it was not wise for me to judge it.
In the drama, we understand that FL had the worst first love anyone could have and it traumatized her at a very young age. Moreover, She is willing to do the right thing and she dumped the cheating husband on the 2nd episode. So she was not a threat to the wife.

True, after episode 24 the strong leads became very weak. saving each other's life on and on.
In fact, I am rewatching the drama and I assure you. This is a drama about survival and they speak alot about their next life. So I am not sad, as it was announced. Although it is not a Xianxia, ML and FL met again in there next life so i feel good.
I post my point of view on every episode. I am now on episode 5.

I was about to mention "Kill Me Love Me", but I remembered that it is a happy ending. So I did not. In the novel they survive together. And in the drama they meet again in another lifetime. So happy ending.
I know some people think it is a "what if" kind of ending but it is not.

I heard a similar story , in real life, when I was little but it was the daughter who paired with her mother's lover.
I remember people gossiping about what she said : "If he is good for my mother, he is good for me too"
I remember that I was outraged.
So, the situation is not from another world. It is just taboo, so people usually hush it, but I am sure it happens very more often than we think.
This drama reminds me of this story in my hometown. This is why I watch it.
As I see it, they might be together in the end. Exept if the mother or the father tries to kill female lead or something similar.

If I imagine the wife and husband staying together. Things will be very bad. They will hurt each other and retaliate against one another.

ML is unlucky to have those kind of parents. But I am happy that he is mature. He is not easily manipulated. Now they will try to manipulate him. I hope they never succeed.

However, as I see it, ML is the best match for FL given his sincerity and love. I don't think she would have accepted another guy after all the hardship she went through. Even though it is source of troubles. She is till ready to fight for his love and that a plus.
