If you watch the drama, you will see that he even manipulated his wife into attacking female lead, in the purpose of separating FL from his son. So basically now, wife and husband are teaming up to make them break up. And I suspect that, the jerk told his wife that he wanted to take back FL as his mistress. This is why the wife went berserk saying she wanted her son back (in the previews).

In my opinion, if the wife really decides to cheat on the husband with the hunky guy. I think the husband's ego will be hurt. And he might try to attack the hunky guy out of arrogance. Because in a way, he is not jealous but possessive about what belongs to him. Both wife and husband are bad.

And this is why the antagonist( the wife) keeps going after Female Lead who is fleeing her husband (from the get go) and her son (in the firsts episodes). There is a reason why the wife is an antagonist here. She is evil. Female Lead specifically met her, to tell her she rejected her husband as soon as she met her( the wife). But she is vindictive. And doing so she is breaking her family on her own. The wife always knew that her husband was a serial cheater. And she never did anything about it. She started this war because that jerk of a husband told her he wanted to take an official girlfriend. There, The wife knew, everybody would know about her dirty laundry.

He had the nerve to tell his buddy that his sexual life with his wife was spicier when he had Female Lead in his life. This guy is just a trash. Luckily the main couple communicate a lot, so this helps them dissipate any misunderstanding and escape any trap.
