Yeah I've watched My Mister long back, one of my favs. It has a nice blend of slice of life and drama with a definitive ending.
Yeah I think cdramas love eating and kdramas love drinking haven't ventured into thai or others, but in all seriousness it wasn't a pleasant watch for me.

But that aside, I read that they added so many fillers that the ending seems rushed. In actuality it wasn't like this. It derails from episode 5 itself lol

and can you believe the curse of the Suyi who terrorized half the nation for her ex is actually working like can evil people curses work too?

and I think this is very common in wuxia but man do these characters die.. haha like more than once at least.

as draggy as my hoodie pants.. seriously we have only plot that is grinded so much that becomes paste, then dries to become powder, then add water to make it paste, then dry to make ... on and on

the energy of FL is over-the-top, loved her acting and SML is good too. Another thing that gets it a higher rating is no misunderstanding between leads, if there are any they immediately clear it up in the next episode. impossible for a wuxia 7.5/10

I dropped this at ep 23.. the plot isn't interesting sersly, I was watching for romance by ep20-21 you feel like they've started connecting, okay good. What should I look for now? I guess there is some mystery behind both leads that needs uncovering but is it worth me sitting another 18 episodes to find out? I have dozens of dramas to finish.. ;( I liked the SML and SFL romance more tho

I had to drop this hard at ep 4.. who in their right mind would allow your ex's brother to humiliate you in front of everyone when she was at fault for dumping you.
ML has been written with zero self-respect and FL with no conscience. I just can't, ughh vomit vomit

I think I can see what you are getting at, in retrospect I saw those messages which you have so beautifully conveyed as unrelatistic. I couldn't relate to it as neither me nor anyone in my close circles are going through such issues. It was hard to relate with alocholism as I've abstained from it and so does my close circle. Like most of topics they brought up I couldn't relate except the parenting issue raised and the brother's high horse (which he got down after his mother's death). Another thing I would agree with you is having someone who loves you and supports you can do wonders. It could even negate the therapy if done right.

This maybe rampant everywhere else and other people can make sense but to me it just felt foreign and a bit misdirecting or I should say a bad influence for the youngsters. I usually go in dramas with the hope that I could learn a thing or two from these melodramatic or romantic dramas but alas it is a bit delusional expectation from an entertainment product.

Anyways, thanks for the input, maybe a rewatch later down the line would give me new pov.

okay now at ep 24... I've lost interest.. there is zero to none romance between leads.. too much distancing even for irl and also the plot isn't captivating.. it's an OKAY one.. I will have cruise the rest of the episodes with fast forward at hand..

I am on episode 2 and this is the most irl drama scene I've ever seen. ML gives the q-tip to FL for her to treat the wound, HE DOESN'T DO IT.. yaayy to irl-ism in drama hahaha
I've never understood the over exaggeration of ML or FL forcibly treating wounds of other leads.. haha

I don't know whether it is a good idea/message to say it is fine to live with/love an alcoholic underground boss-lackey who kill or beat people for a living - what matters is your happiness.. hee??
A women with low self esteem has to say that I'll be a man for you (to a man who doesn't want kids bcz of trauma) just to be with them - that is not something I would recommend.
While they always showed the brother being sane but I have no idea whether he was or not because they only showed his pov being accurate or right while the other side were skipped. He felt relatable but I couldn't figure out whether his alcohol was speaking or him.
This whole drama could be easier if all of them went to therapy. They all were suffering from different mental illnesses and wanted to live a celibate life..

And what is with all kdramas and alcohol craze.. who drinks soooooo much alcohol.. ughhh

I just finished this drama and I have no idea what it wanted to convey... either the messages are too foreign for me to understand or too korean.. The comedic jibes, slice of life stories, emotional rollercoaster was well done .. but in the end it just ended without any definitive answer. It was more like this is life, it'll be hard, your siblings can be toxic, parents too, ignore harrassement and still keep living.

After completing the drama everyone's question is

1) Why did Joon Mo kill Ki-chul ? ?
From What I understood is...

" Jung Ki-chul's suicide is a curse aimed especially at Yoo Eui-jung.He is a man who has liked her since childhood.He's a man who tried to get out of the dark for himself. The guilt of driving such a man to death can last a lifetime to Eui Jung. Park Jun-mo shot Ki-chul because he wanted to free his wife Yoo Eui-jung at least by taking responsibility for Jung Ki-chul's death alone.

2) Did Park Joon Mo Yu Eui-jung broken up ??

In the last scene Joon Mo visits Jung Ki Chul's grave, he left his wedding ring, hinting that he and his wife had broken up. At same time we can watch the chain of Eui Jung ( Ki-chul gave her to in their teenage) on Ki-chul's grave it means she ends Ki-chul's love there , this the chance for their new life. Hope they will meet again after sometime and start new life.

I think he(Young Ho) was mentally handicap as well as it is very common in when same family member relationships happen. Because in his first scene he comes off as someone who is possessed, he had no reason to act that way if he was innocent or otherwise. Guy had a screw loose..

irl she would be or should be jailed for her actions, and she is so shameless that she shows no gratitude when her abduction charges were dropped - just an ahuh from her.

I think since the beginning she knew about him but the drama did a slow reveal as we came near to the climax.

And it wasn't a disgusting twist as you make it, it was rural part of korea and 1990s, I would say yeah it is acceptable. (I am not commending the act either but ain't surprised by it)
What was actually disgusting was the father of FL, who had a wife and daughter left them to live with sister to only impregnate her and leave her too.. like WORST FATHER OF DECADE..

Ahh I love an in... ahem ahem .. good timepass drama, not much to look here.

Question why didn't he kill? what was on his mind? he is already on his deathbed? ehhh you are a trained assassin, and that's what you are thinking?
