Yes, maybe. I think his makeup is too flat, barely any color/contour in the eye area. And his eyes are too round and black, he looks soulless at times. Hmm, maybe that's it, that his eyes are unsettling for me.
just started this today. I look at the ML and I think he's handsome, but then they do a close up and I feel there is something off with him. I can't quite figure it out π
So I was watching s3 but after a few eps I decided to start from s1. Now 5 episodes in and I've gotta say I'm liking this more. Not just because of LYN and SZ, but I like the chemistry of the whole cast. The premise of them being new tenants and the setting being on multi level floor bldg is really cool, and it gives you familiarity rather than jumping from one completely new story/set up to another. I find this also funnier, the Manager and the receptionist are a good addition. And yes, the funniest moments are whenever they break character and go off script π
No wonder I couldn't follow the case, the Youtube 'official' Eng translation seemed to be only mtl. To anyone watching who really wants to understand the cases, kisskh is better. Still wish the captions are also translated, but atleast I get a lot more context than watching in Youtube
Is there anywhere where they sub this including captions? Honestly, it's a bit hard following the case when only the conversations are translated.haha Wish some subbers pick this up like how iSubs did Runningman way back 2010. π
Proud to say I've been in his camp since The Long Ballad. He is one of the most unique actors in China. I knew nothing about him then and yet his role in TLB really left an impression on me. So glad many people are appreciating him now.
I love this drama and after reading the novel, I love the original story even more. No wonder many things in the tv version seems illogical (esp 32-36), they cut a lot of characters and details from the story. In the original material, the political aspect is a bit more complicated but the motivations, allegiance, betrayals, all actions of the characters made more sense.
What is my baby boy doing? π when will he back on costume dramas? *sigh* Atleast LingHe and YiuNing are keeping us company. But WuLei you better come back soon.
People saying he is too aggressive haven't read romances from late 90s/ early 2000s then. The way it is described…
Yes. Totally, the 90s bodice ripper novels would definitely offend a lot of people today haha I think it was realistic for that time so I wasn't offended by it. They were both inexperience but the biggest difference is that WS is the one in position of power and QX is expected to submit, which is the practice at that time. I like the natural progression where he slowly becomes more considerate of her.
Where did you read? The better translation was only at ch60 so far. The wattpad one is just mtl :(
I'm reading the novel and onto ch60 now. I think the story is a lot more logical in the novel AND it is really spicy πΆ (which is rare for a chinese webnovel like this). I saw commenters hating on WS as he literally was s**ually agressive to QX specially early on. But I gotta say I actually prefer this realism. As matured he was on other aspects, he's literally a post teenager male discovering the pleasures of intimacy and factor that in with his prideful nature of never admitting he's wrong.lol I love both the novel and tv version! π«Ά
In ep 36 when WS and BZ fight, I don't think WS lost to BZ actually, but it seemed like WS didn't want to fight…
Yes. WeiShao was not giving it his all. I think he was simultaneously thinking how they can sneakily get to Fan and save her or directly aim for LiuYan. But BiZhi is dumbdumb and won't use his head. All that strength for nothing π.
Yes. And I find BiZhi really lame despite his strength.Like use your brains too, he can fight a whole unit, atleast…
What I meant is atleast try. If that was Shao surely he would have devised something. WeiLiang was there, Ci is also on their side, there were enemies but there are also allies available. Could have used stealth etc and made a plan to retrieve DaQiao and escape.
Listen I donβt wanna sound rude but I did not feel bad for Da Qiao π¬π¬. Iβm not saying she deserves it…
Yes. And I find BiZhi really lame despite his strength. Like use your brains too, he can fight a whole unit, atleast try to recover your wife instead of being a puppet.
At one point from ep33 where things started going crazy and illogical, I just gave up and stopped rationalizing to enjoy it. But although it tugged my heart, how stupid is Qu to strap Liang in his back and attack like that. Like, my dude, you can let him lie somewhere first, he ain't going nowhere.
I'm getting more curious now what happened in the past.

33-36 was just a convoluted mess.
