Am I the only one who was hopeful until the end for WeiLiang?
My mind while watching:
*saw him stabbed:
BiZhi avoided his vital part - he's alive
*saw him face down:
That little plate from Tao probably saved him- he's alive
*saw him hanging:
Ahh he's still alive and just being tortured
*saw him strapped on Qu's back and Qu getting nerfed:
He's suddenly gonna wake up and fight again- he's alive

Ahhhhh didn't like how he and Tao got so much airtime early on, but he grew on me 🥲

Why do comments from this account sounds AI generated 🤷‍♀️
It's annoying. I wanna see and interact with real comments.😆
These ones takes too much space and don't even make sense.

The Chinese really aren't wrong when they jokingly say you can produce a mid drama with pretty faces and it'll…
Well, it was marketed as romance. Good romance is basically the main requirement.😆 Although I won't call it a mid drama, it's not on my S-tier list but I still think it's a good one. After the countless 'hyped' highratings dramas that I dropped, this one got my attention until the end.

They skip our couple reunion after the battle.at least they show when wei shao comeback and meet his wife and…
Yeah, I was sad about this too. In last episode there is hardly scenes of our main couple.

Yeah, I kinda agree that last episodes were written poorly.
For me it felt like it ended in ep32 and it was PERFECT, regardless of some loose ends at that point.
And then it felt like writer wants to milk it further and force a plot, sprinkle in some deaths for shock value. The last bit didn't flow nicely, too rushed, too forced and illogical. But I kinda commend some really powerful scenes ( ex: the Generals breaking down on 'that' scene).

I'm gonna continue reading the novel now as I can see they took lots of liberties with the TV version.

Title Yield to You
Because of the success of POB, I don't know how they'll manage this. There must be some pressure.
I hope it doesn't feel cheap and cringe like majority of short-form dramas.

Manman never pleaded for Wei Shao to split his troops to save Yanzhao or Liancheng. In fact she told her nanny…
That's was a good analysis, thanks for sharing!
Had it not been for Manman's wit and if WeiShao lost, imagine Manman's guilt regardless of Shao's motivation.

you don't think he would massacre the family that raised him? he killed his father without a 2nd thought, then…
It was because he holds no affection for his blood family. He was ousted because of the stepmother and was taken in by the Qiao. They didn't highlight it much here but he grew up with them and he was treated well there.
I don't see him as plain evil, specially after his spiel about Lady Youlo and ants. He was shaped by his circumstances.
But yes, it's debatable how far gone he was at this point.

I really like this drama but they should have respected the source material of Bi Zhi. What a man he was, his…
I'm on the early chapters of the novel now and I like the intensity of BiZhi's character from the first timeline. Him rising in status to fight Shao and just to dig up Dao's body (not spoiler since this is irrelevant to the tv version). This makes me more interested in his character.
But yes, I find drama BiZhi kinda lame and just a one dimensional simp.

Adding my 2cents:
I don't hold any particular feelings for DaQiao, but I don't think her reasoning is bad. Morally incorrect but very human. The only dumb part is her thinking Boya will remain safe after Wei falls. They're the next easy target.
On the other hand, she's actually quite right with her judgement on Manman's decision.
We're only comforted by the fact that we know WeiShao will survive. But in reality, she basically sent her husband on a death mission by pleading him to split his troop to protect Qiao's land. Having to rely again on a promise of reinforcement that might not even arrive. Manman's decision was noble but still very flawed. And, I don't think LiuYan will even immediately massacre the Qiao family who previously sheltered him. Wei could have given up one location to have a chance to regroup all their forces.
But anyway, all's well that ends well lol.

I have been a Liu Yuning fan since the Long Ballad and I feel bad whenever people criticize his looks. He's very manly and attractive to me, but I do think his eyebrows are to strong and raised in this one. Wish they softened it a little bit.😩

Ep14 now and I wish they just focus on the maincouple. Too much time invested on secondary characters.

As a fan of the Japanese High×Low franchise, I really love this!!
SKor is killing it with the recent non-romance series.

This one feels like a fever dream.
I remember watching this many years back and the only detail I remember is how weird that Ken Zhu plays his father haha.
Now that I think of it, I don't even remember if there was a real plot or how the story ended.

My theory so far.
FL intentionally approached ML because he's part of her plans on uncovering the mystery about her father's death. Basically she managed to use him before he was able to use her(granddaughter identity). But she ended up loving him for real. I think she has a secret deal with the Yeom family.
Also, I believe the cinammon bread was sent as a warning that she doesn't back out from the deal.
So yes, she got caught up in a messy situation.
And I'm guessing she's also pregnant now with ML's baby, no way 'that scene' isn't intentional.
