i dropped this some days ago (wasn't happy when they watered down TTJ) and now considering whether to pick it up again or not. but based on these comments, the ending is not good?
this show kinda grew on me, I was expecting some angst with this trope but suprisingly the light-heartedness really works and is not boring. I must admit I skip on the other couple's scenes though. I know their other series 'Once we got married' was popular, but I never watched it because I thought ML is not attractive. I take that back now, ML's acting and aura makes him attractive. I love all the sides eyes and goofiness of his character. Btw, if they make a Korean version of this, I can totally see Ji Changwook pull off this character.
ep5 now. I'm not super hooked but it's not bad and I'm sticking to it. the biggest downside is that the 2nd and 3rd couple are unnecessary and cringe in my opinion. It's annoying and breaks the pace of the main couple story. why do cdramas keep doing this ๐ฎโ๐จ i think the only modern romance drama that perfected the no cringe level and no annoying 2nd couples is Lighter and Princess.
I am starting to think that theyโre toning down TTJโs character a bit too much. I understand that it needs…
yes, I feel the same way. he kinda lost his appeal to me along the way. I understand that the novel is from FL pov and she might have seen TTJ in a more 'devilish' light, and now the show is trying to put justification behind his action as we get to see things from his pov. I get that, but even so, they really softened him too much. It kinda lost the original uniqueness that it had in the beginning. It just felt like the same old xianxia trope. I dare say his character in Ashes of Love imo is better than TTJ.
to be honest, it didn't sustain the same level of excitement as it did in the earlier episodes for me. but I will still see it to the end, maybe I'll switch opinions later on
Hi I subscribed Youku International am not sure if you know about the extra episode after episode 36. May I know…
They are just bts and short extra scenes. You can find them unsubbed in kisskh. But if you search on twitter you will find the subbed clips. in my opinion, no need to subscribe just for these ๐
I watched this while it was airing and those were such amazing weeks, waiting for new episodes and exchangings comments here.
Months after, I've seen a couple more dramas (including hyped ones), and now I'm currently watching TTEOTM. But I must say it, NO OTHER NEW SERIES HAS OVERTAKEN LIGHTER&PRINCESS in my heart. I still think about this series, and still hoping that next 'big series' will finally make me move on ๐ซ
I donโt like guys with thick makeup but I guess there is a reason for this?
Idk, I really don't like it. DFQC was also a demon/devil but his makeup in LBFAD was flawless. If TTJ's makeup is a creative choice, I guess I just don't really get it.
I love the clamp people's glittery shadows makeup ๐ on the other hand, I'm not digging LYX's thick makeup. I love him but the obvious orangey eyeshadow and lipstick is not it. Also on closeup shots, the foundation is cakey. Does the makeup artist hate him? ๐ญ
Why is this dragging on to episode 18. So frustrating. If they were going to take so long to be killing and long…
it reminded me of the mortal realm arc in Eternal Love of Dreams, in the book that whole arc didn't even happen and yet they dragged the episodes. And then rushed on other things that are more interesting. Sometimes the Director's creative choices are questionable ๐ฎโ๐จ
YES! Someone said it, finally. I'm at ep 12 and If this dream lasts like 10 eps ill be madddd
yes, I'm kinda upset they fast forward so much on how he ascended the throne and now dragging this dream arc. And this dream arc has such an unoriginal plot, so it's personally not interesting. Can't wait to go back to being TTJ and YXW.
Why people are not liking Dream arc plot?? Dream arc plot is so good and it also important for fl and ml, can…
personally it's because I like TTJ and LSS characters/story and this whole chapter felt like it killed their momentum. I know this arc is relevant to the plot but because in this dream there is no reference to the real ML and FL, it's like a completely different series altogether. and not to mention, the SangJui ร MingYe unrequited love/misunderstanding plot/ evil other woman has already been done thousand times over on other series. It's doesn't spark interest.
hmm, I think yes. but it's rather complicated. the story is both of them alternately hurting each other because they keep misunderstanding each others real intentions.
I read the bad translations, but from what I remember he knows YXW is also about to be saved. Plus, it was Susu who decided to give up, jump and kill herself from too much heartbreak and suffering.
When she came back to the present, her sect is alive and somehow TTJ didn't become the devil lord as in the original timeline.
