Person Leo Wu
I want to see him in a Xianxia drama 🤍

Guys!!! Tantai jin is soooo creepy!!! I can't explain in but the way that man looks, moves his body, flickering…
I get what you mean. I think it's a combination of many factors, definitely majority from LYX's acting skills, but the soundtrack, cinematography and camera angles help too.
Some scenes I get the feeling like I'm watching a gothic horror.
TTJ is definitely unique and a class of his own.
I see some mentioning comparison to DFQC, which I equally love btw, and he is great too!
But I don't think they are similar at all.
DFQC has always given me the hot/cool/tsundere demon vibes. He'll be rough but you know he'll never truly hurt you.
But TTJ, there's just something believably sinister and unhinge in how he is portrayed. He can be truly creepy and scary.

I also got that impression and I think the FL curved jade was cut and instead we get the ML speaking to animals,…
yes. and the giant bees were replaced by the crows.
it's a good creative choice from the production imo.

Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
The poison part, in the drama based on the ep 7 trailer, TTJ is the one suffering the "intimacy" part or maybe…
ohh I haven't seen ep7 trailer yet. I read the mtl version of the novel so it was hard to understand fully. But from what I remember, they never really slept together, but XW kept TTJ close during the 'poison attacks'.
and the first time they were truly intimate was when TTJ basically r**** her.

btw, it seems in the drama the 'aphrodisiac potion' or whatever it's called in the novel, is a one time thing? I remember in the novel it acts up every couple of months, that's why XW married TTJ.

plus, I was curious how the Jade bracelet will be shown in the drama, but seems they skipped that 'character'.

nonetheless, I'm liking the drama version. It gave more perspective to the major plot points.

unbiased opinion :
even with my high expectations, the first 6 episodes didn't disappoint.
some points I like :
-the CGI is gorgeous
-when I saw bts pics before, I thought the costumes were garish, but the color grading is perfect and post production looks so pretty
-unlike in most Xianxia, there are no annoying or cringey antics that takes screentime
-FL is smart and her internal dillemmas are reasonable, plus points for not using squeaky voice acting
-ML is unique and I like how the series brought us to the process on how he's getting unhinge, and I never once doubted Leo's skill to act this out
-the drama sucks you right in unlike most xianxia were you need to warm up to the story for a couple of eps
-I like the changes they have made from the novel so far

can't wait for more!

last show that I was super hooked was Lighter and Princess, everything else after seemed bland. I've been waiting for this since last year, and I'm really hoping it's gonna be a 2023 favorite💗

so many are already complaining about the ml looking too soft but I don't care at all as long as the character…
I think it's actually how the character was described in the novel, he's supposed to be pale and slender. The character has more gothic vibes than the typical masculine ML.

Romance aside, I really want to experience this kind of healing trip.
Be in a small town close to nature, nice locals, have those slow soulful days.
Any ideas where it is safe to do this as a solo girl?

Title Dear Liar
this is not what I expected at all.
it's a frustrating show, and FL is a stupid doormat. 'ML' is an abusive trash, and definitely not in any sexy or attractive way.
if you came here for dark romance, this is not it.
it's a straight up thriller.
plus I don't see the point of the subplot betweeb the sister-in-law and her husband.
all the characters are annoying.
will just see it thru since it's almost done and just 10mins each ep.
the only thing that keeps me watching is curiosity on what the 'secret' is

11 episodes in.
for a miniseries, this is really interesting.
The only downside is I don't see any romance, this is more thriller suspense/mystery.
I was expecting it to be like Flower of Evil, where viewers will go back and forth with 'is he or is he not bad?'.

Here, the 'ML' is straight up abusive and suspicious. I also have a thing for fictional borderline psycho/anti-heros ML, granted they are written with the right balance, where they remain in the grey zone.
Unfortunately here, the writer didn't take advantage of FZX good looks, even with that face, I feel uncomfortable and creeped out with his character. All I can think of is that FL should run.

His plot is what makes him able to become the person who helps her, no questions asked. He emphatizes with her…
I know, but I didn't like that they wrapped her issue first then suddenly focused on him. Would have worked better if it was written differently, like resolved their issues simultaneously.
On The Glory Part 2 Mar 12, 2023
The doctor's revenge arc seems to be only inserted as afterthought. It kinda felt like the story went off tangent. It was unnecessary imo, wish they just wrapped it up with them being free from revenge and at peace. Was actually expecting DongEun to just show in a brighter colored clothes (like some sort of symbolism), they hug and story wraps.
But seeing this is produced by Netflix they probably left it like that to possibly milk the story more in the future.
On Taxi Driver Season 2 Mar 3, 2023
I also feel Season2 is much less brutal than S1, I used to get chills everytime I see the prison dungeon and the creepy lady who keeps them.
Season2 somehow feels less dark even though the cases are still heavy. They have a lot more fun antics now which I like.
On Taxi Driver Season 2 Mar 3, 2023
I'm starting to believe new guy is not a villain, he's more likely a kid that DoKi saved years ago.
Clue on ep5, when he told the little girl that her clothes must always be clean or people will mistreat her.
This also explains why he is attached to DoKi and seems to always be in awe of him. He seems to sense there is something more that this 'taxi company' is doing but cannot exactly tell what, hence the curiousity and snooping around.
He's probably gonna be an ally and will be a key element in helping later on and will officially join the team.
