I know we have different opinions and views regarding LX apology, but Im really hoping that despite his apology…
It's really interesting to see how we (viewers) process things differently. 😊 There are those like you that rallies a lot for ZY's feelings, as if it is an open wound that needs to be bandaged by LX's apology and suffering.
Trust me, I'm also a sucker for angsty stories where ML intentionally/unintentionally hurts FL, regrets it, suffers and grovels. But the 'noble idiocy' that LX did in this story is particularly logical and reasonable for me. Yes, he did hurt ZY but the only other option is to hurt her even more. ZY would have been more miserable if he didn't break up with her, and considering how much she's willing to stay by his side against all odds, LX knows the only way to sever their ties is to break her heart. The very reason LX hurt her intentionally is because he knows she's loyal and big hearted, and that's the only way to make her leave.
I truly don't understand this desire to see LX suffer more, thankfully we didn't get a lot of episodes about his prison life, I'm pretty sure his life there is no less harder than ZY's life with depression abroad. Not that it even matters, but if you step back farther to view things, who's fault is it that LX got dragged into FZJ's mess? ZY's heart was broken, but so does LX's heart and on top of that he lost literally everything. Like what else do we want to see happen to LX, he already cried in prison. Do we wanna see him beg and cry now? Behind his grumpiness he's already suffering from jealousy and sadness thinking she'd moved on.
So for me, I'm not so hang up into hearing LX say sorry, because as audience and even ZY, we know that he already paid the price for 'what he'd done to ZY'. The sorry is just a formality, their own understanding on what went down between them is already beyond such formalities. And everything is so far really consistent with the characterization.
People are so stuck up on these formalities saying Li Xun should apologise because he made her suffer, Li Xun…
I totally agree. One factor that captivates me on this story is their natural progression. Unlike most dramas, there are no 'eureka/dramatic scenes' of them realizing their feelings. Like we watch them grow from strangers to rivals to friends to close friends to lovers. All throughout there were no-labeling, the lines between each stages were blurry and honestly it didn't even occur to me to question at which point their relationship was shifting. Yet the amazing thing is, their whole relation progress even with the lack of formalities is so believable, as if it was just the most natural thing.
So yeah, I totally get you that there is no need to break down their relationship into defined steps (like having LX say sorry first, then ZY forgives, then this, then that).
After tomorrow it will be another agonising 4 days of waiting. How I wish they release all episodes at once, I'm even willing to pay for advance streaming now.
LX still has shares which is why he offered the buy-out. He can’t legally unilaterally dissolve the partnership…
Yes.he should have been a Business major rather than Programming.haha
Ahhh.the sad 'what ifs'. If the 3 of them had stuck together (LX, ZY and Gao), all capitalising on each of their strengths, they would have been unstoppable.

I think the 1% is reference to LX and ZY's dream, about improving the cure rate of cancer by 1%. 😅 He said this to mock LX in the prison scene.
My take is that he is not listed in the shareholders, but there is a separate document that binds Gao to him, considering half of Gao's equity is also his.
Today's episode did answer some of my questions. I have always wondered why Gao didn't just set up his own company. When LX was imprisoned, the company was still small, and now it also got bigger with credits to Gao (as much as we hate him haha). He has the talent to grow a company too. I asked myself before that why does he need to 'repurpose' L&P into a gaming company, why not just set up his own. I initially thought it was because out of spite for LX. But turns out today, it is monetary reasons. He used the funds from the sale of the medical software to finance the new business plan. It's so frustrating knowing how LX worked hard for L&P's capital
i felt so bad for lao gao.. after all he was also part of the team.. but the lovey dovey decided everything by…
it's true. I also felt sorry for him in the beginning as well, ZY and LX could have been more considerate of his feelings. But even so, they treated him with sincerity and never really intended to directly harm him. But Gao, the moment he finally decided acting up, he just straight up crossed all lines to wickedness.

yep, I studied accounting so I know some of this stuff. 😊 realistically what you said is exactly what would have happened, when they got new investors, LX and Gao's ownership percentage will just be reduced in proportion to the new investments they acquire. But Gao specifically said LX doesn't have any shares to his name (unless this is a translation error).
This is dramaland so they probably did not polish the logic enough, what could have possible happened is Gao really dissolved the partnership . It doesn't need for one party to violate, a partner can anytime raise a dissolution agreement and the other party just have to agree. In this case, because Gao is LX's legal representative, he basically just have to agree to himself. Then whatever assets left (after paying all liabilities) will go to both of them. He reinvested those assets but only under his name. So we see that this is straight up thievery from Gao. Hopefully we see more details into the next episodes that actually makes sense.
for me it's more because he's jealous. I know he did the typical 'noble idiocy' to protect her, but I do think…
yes. 😊 that's what I like about his character, he's not a hypocrite, he doesn't go making martyr decision just because it's 'good' for ZY. The only time he did so was because the whole situation was exceptional. He had always been respectful on what ZY wants for herself. Remember the whole time they were together he knows her parents don't like him, a typical selfless ML would have done something, but he did not do anything about it.lol He was also supportive on whatever ZY wants to do, whether going abroad or staying with him for L&P. He does not impose what he thinks is better for her. So I guess, if ZY shows that she still wants him, I don't see him resisting for so long.

on episode 1, he was behind ZhuYun but he did not show himself. Well, it could also be a coincidence as he was there for RenDi, probably he was just really there to collect money from RenDi. (edited my comment to avoid confusion) But anyhow, I still think he is not so dead set in cutting ZY off his life, he just won't initiate any reunion.
I can’t figure out if Li Xun is rude to Zhu Yun just because he thinks that she is engaged to her childhood…
for me it's more because he's jealous. I know he did the typical 'noble idiocy' to protect her, but I do think LX in general is not noble/martyr. Now that the dust has settled, I feel like he wouldn't be so resistant in getting back together if ZY still wants him, but would not disturb her if she has moved on. He's just salty now because he thinks she's engaged and he always brings it up each time they talk. My guess is he just needs to clarify the issue regarding painter guy and he just needs a little assurance that ZY still wants him and they'll soon get back together without much drama. *hope so*
We have to be reminded that in episode 1 RenDi told LX that ZY is getting married. He's jealous that's why he's extra rude to her. I keep replaying that up and down look he gave her when they were waiting for the elevator. His character is really not for sensitive souls, otherwise you'd cry. He looks at her almost as if with disdain 😂, good thing ZY understands him well and always can see pass his crankiness.

Gao literally said LX doesn't own a single share in L&P. He can dissolve the partnership, the 50% itself already makes it plausible, but most importantly LX left him to be legal executor of the whole company, so he really can make decisions on both their behalf. So yes, LX is cheated out of L&P. I am assuming the buy-out is referred to half of what Gao has, because LX is entitled still to half of Gao's equity now. But it seems legally speaking, on the equity structure of L&P, Gao only registered his name (as if he is representing both LX and himself).
