Saw him first time on 18 again. He looks so much like Lee Joongi!! And I'm really shocked that he's almost 30, definitely still can pass for a teenager.
The drama is about a cult obviously they were emphasizing the activities in the cult and how cults work personally…
Yes. But I found it repetitive, I mean I already get it that it's a cult. But yes, probably I just wasn't in the mood to watch 15 episodes of stressful events and only 1 happy episode ending. On the bright side, I appreciate Woo DoHwan's acting a lot and will search for his other dramas now. :)
We are already in Ep13 but it feels like nothing substantial is happening. I know this is slice of life genre but it's really quite plain. Altho admittedly there are touching parts, his grandfather and the family aspect. But idk it just feels like we are still at the beginning of the series. Definitely one of those drama that you don't even think about afterwards or just forget that it's still airing. I keep watching for Park Bogum tho and since it always shows in my Netflix update. It's not very bad, but there's really nothing in it, no climax or whatsoever. I also don't find myself rooting for the main couple, I honestly couldn't care less if they break up. The romance buildup is not sold properly to the audience.
This definitely has a lot of elements in it. Beginning of ep1 and ep4 really creeped me out. And the ML and FL love's story really remind me of Chinese Xianxia series, even the music they use. It's giving me Eternal Love and Pillowbook vibes, I can't help but think Yeon's character is similar to Dijun. Probably if Dijun interacted more in the mortal world and lived in the present he'll be exactly like Yeon. I'm liking his character thus far. Overall the CGI is not the best and some parts of the story are still all over the place, but so far it's enough to keep me watching.
Is she pure korean? There's something about her face that stands out. Even the first time I saw her as guest on Runningman she already caught my attention. She has this sophisticated classy look.
What in the weirdness is this? But surprisingly it is fun to watch. And just to note they tried to make the lead plain looking but they're still cute!haha
Okay so I find it very slow paced. I actually watch it with 1.5× speed in Netflix. Too much screentime emphasizing the activities in the cult, like I don't need 20mins screentime of this crazy rituals and chanting. It's also very frustrating to watch, I've seen til episode 6 and so far there is only too much injustice. There are no episodes so far where the protagonist atleast wins. I've decided I cannot take 15 episodes of this. SO I DECIDED TO JUST JUMP TO EPISODE 16. Glad I did! I don't want 15 episodes of suffering just for a 1 episode payoff.
Okay I'm in episode 6 now and Min's character is making my blood boil more than the villains themselves. I wish the writers could have written her character better. Nobody is gonna say 'aww, she's so sweet and selfless', NO! she's freaking dumb and stupid who won't mind her own business. I know lakorns are far from real life, but seriously her character is over the top martyr. She should atleast fight back a little bit, it's so frustrating to watch.
na and chen must be main lead in new dramaa!!!!!!! their chemistry is so cuteeee. and also na's father should…
So true! It's the first time I liked the second couple in a lakorn. They are soooo cute together and their relationship progressed naturally and realistically.
I know a lot of people read on the comments section to decide on whether to watch or not, so here it goes. This series starts with a very controversial premise, FL got drugged by a 'friend' and was 'sold' to the ML who mistook her for a prostitute (not putting spoiler tags here as this is basically on the first 10mins of the drama). If you in any way cannot stomach this, then DO NOT CONTINUE WATCHING as this drama (similar to other lakorn) has many other questionable scenes and it will only for sure upset you and it is not fair to give it a very low rating because of this. Lakorns are their own kind and shouldn't be compared to Kdramas and real life. If you know you are being served chicken, you should not expect it to taste like pork.
If you are able to get pass Episode 1 and willing to open your mind and just be entertained then this Lakorn is WORTH YOUR TIME. Now rating this as a lakorn, I would say I enjoyed it a lot and perhaps it is the best this year.
-it is surprisingly fast-paced with no annoying filler or secondary plot (I remember even in KluenCheewit which I like, I tend to skip scenes that are not with the maincouple as I find them tedious)
-on the first 5 episodes the ML is basically an obnoxious caveman, grabbing, force kissing, verbally abusing, literally harassing the FL. He seems non redeemable, but things actually gets better episode 6 onwards.
-this lakorn has the best second couple, usually I don't care so much about second couple but in this one I really enjoy seeing Chen and Na. Their relationship was the most natural, normal and comedic. I love this combination of the spoiled rich boy and the tomboyish no non-sense bff of the FL. Na's character is definitely one of the best, she's super chill and the voice of reason on this drama.
-the ending wasn't rushed. They took 3 episodes to start wrapping it up. Unlike other lakorns where you only get like 5 minutes of happy moments, in this drama it is satisfying to see how it ended for each character. It is also refreshing to see that the antagonist are not as evil or ridiculous as in usual Lakorn. By the end of the drama, they were able to humanize the characters.
-there are many eyerolling moments, but this is lakorn so just roll with it HAHA. It kept me watching and entertained the whole time so not much complaint there.
-The editing is also good, the story itself as mentioned is questionable at certain point, but the flow was good. I remember watching Husband in Law and the editing and cuts made by the director is so confusing.
-The script could have also been improved to justify the character's behaviors, specially on the controversial scenes mentioned. It would probably lessen the hate directed at the ML if he got a better script explaining why he did what he did.
-The actors seems to be rookies but overall okay. Kem's acting (ML) is no way near the level of Mark Prin or even Mik Thongraya but he did pretty well for a beginner. He is also handsome but I would say it's obvious he's still very young, there are angles where he looks kinda chubby with his baby cheeks. He could work out a bit to get more chiseled. Mookda (FL) is also okay, nothing spectacular but she delivered. Her makeup sometimes looks off though, the orange lips doesn't suit her and she looks prettier with her hair down. The person in charge of the clothing also seemed to think throwing in as much designer stuff into an outfit will make the characters classy, but sometimes it just looks tacky.
It wasn't recorded in front of Hyunsu and Dominseok. It was recorded right after Dominseok died while Heesung…
Heesung and Dominseok fought because the ahjumma saw when he took the last victim in the van. They both knew there was a witness. However, the ahjumma witness only filed her statement after Dominseok died, to let everyone know that there was an accomplice.

I don't get the usage of the term.

I really like her in So Wayree and hope she gets more projects.
