she was really lucky to became his wife and she will realise that with a time as well as we know that she will fall for him... it would be hard to not fall for him :) We had seen so many dramas where couple started on the love ground as girl thought she loves the guy and will only marry him etc. and vice a versa and that was nothing but a delusion and guy was a bad person, or easily swayed by others etc.
So what we are seeing is more real - when marriages were arranged by parents and matchmakers or imperial edict - and the couples have to do with that. Definitely there was not much love in their lives at start and it was expected to consummate the marriage on the wedding night. Medieval Europe was the same... + often there were onlookers too

I am keen to see how the enormous gap in the status will be filled
