he was happy that XZ didn't die as he wanted to win him for his own purposes - don't want to spoil much ;) but if drama will stay to novel - based on some trailers and scenes from imperial garden - its highly possible he will turn against our leads

well in the novel he wasn't cheerleading ... as he had been Wei Yan puppet for years he wanted to break free and was power hungry so he was also despicable person. if drama will follow up novel he is going to lose his mind (or pretend to do it) and will be dethroned
About QM...I copied some comment about QM and its really good explained..."Because he grew up in darkness,…
this is not a truth - it is emperor who is actually a son of a servant who has been raped by drunk former emperor and later made a concubine. Qi Min is a late crown prince legal son... he has dark childhood due to death of his father and then his mother scheme and fire in the East Palace... we can say that he became cruel as he suffered a lot in his childhood but it doesn't justify becaming a monster. He has his all grand scheme which will unfold with a time
I had seen a lot of comments wondering why XZ won't come clean? without spoilers - I can tell that he simply knows things us as viewers doesn't its not just about Changyu care free personality and her idea about future life she wants to have - peaceful with scholar as hubby - ofc that matters to XZ a lot - so first he doesn't want to see her being closed in the mansion and being bind by social rules etc. second - he is preparing himself for the worst outcome of the past events and simply can not make their relation public until he will discover a truth.
I just seen on shorts Jin and one of the young guys riding behind Changyu during army triumphant entry to the city! so we know that at least these 2 should stay alive from her Pig Slaughters Squad
plus all the stories told by soldiers including the bear hunting...
I loved her way of thinking: let's hunt the bear! everyone - no, we have no people or weapons to do it, its so hard... her: what's so hard about hunting a bear? Using her butcher knives and a lasso... and that's it. and then thinking - yeah, father was right, its more troublesome then hunting a boar!
QiMin is the son of Crown Prince Chengde, who died years before. QiMin was presumed dead.He was raised by Prince…
You forgot to mention that in the novel Sui family had no idea that late crown princess replaced real Sui boy with her son during the fire in the Eastern Palace . She burned half of the Qi Min face to make him unrecognisable and changed him into Sui boy clothes... His mother also died in the fire so actually no one could say that it wasn't real son of prince Changxing.
and now, we have 2ML falling in love with the FL. hopefully, he will have his own love line by the end of the…
no idea what will happen to him as he is actually a merge of two characters from a novel - so it could be anything from heroic death, betrayal or meeting a true love and happy ending.
Did anyone get double prime minister is not only villian but also grand tutor also because if they show prime…
in novel they were both guilty of deaths of thousands as using all the time soldiers and citizens as a pavement to step on to achieve their goal - which was to destroy the other faction. They both long forget compassion and only cared about power.
there was a moment when XZ will send with her blood crimson cavalry (or however they called it in drama) and simply tell his men: Don't even bother to come back if she will loose even one hair...😁 and she is already fearless and skilled general.
there will be bloody war soon and these minions weren't involved in it in the novel - so hopefully some of them…
thats about being a good commander - you need your soldiers and officers to trust you with their lives and follow you up in the battlefield and that won't happen without proving yourself and gaining their respect. and ofc she will achieve all of that - we should see her character development from butcher and rogue girl to a proper army officer studying hard to make a name for herself and became worth of the marquis wife position.
I am hoping to see how much personal XZ guards were proud of their marchioness :) there were so many funny moments in the novel related to that - when they discovered that she is actually lords wife - all were thinking that couple is a match made in heaven.
I already see that her minions will probably die in batttle. I will prepare for the worst i hope not but... 🥺
there will be bloody war soon and these minions weren't involved in it in the novel - so hopefully some of them will survive and follow her up when she will be climbing ranks in the army
Did wei qillian truly killed xie zheng's father??/ how do the misunderstaning clears up in the end so they can…
Not in the novel! Her father was loyal to Xie and Meng families and as such called traitor by Wei Yan. All came eventually into daylight - when 3 tiger tallies will be find and that will prove beyond any doubt that WQ was innocent and him and general Meng has been framed.
The plot in the novel was quite complicated and involved many parties including late emperor. So tragic events which happened 17 years ago had been set of following up events as all the villains used their chances to gain something. No idea how the drama palace plots will be played out. But are expecting happy ending so definitely Changyu fathers name should be cleared.
in the novel Qi Min is emperor's grandson not real son of prince Sui - so Baoer was actually a threat to him as…
I think they had to do it due to censorship... even with knowing his past and that he was set on the revenge - I had not even a tiny bit of sympathy towards him. But in drama he is so cruel and beyond redemption so I do not understand why people would like his character. Is very well played and handsome villain though.
