Épisode 8 and I have good reasons to think the opposite, despite the promotion clips desperately trying to make…
This drama is based on an older one, Ngao Rak Luang Jai. But I insist : « based ». They changed plenty of things compared to the original because most of these tropes wouldn’t work today And I’ve seen the kiss on a poster
Wow, I do feel a lot of pity for Yoora’s unborn baby : he or she is obviously unwanted, its mom only wants to use him or her to find a place to stay and is probably gonna blame him or her for « ruining her life » by being from Se Hyeok, his or her father is a weakling and his or her paternal grandma and aunt are parasites This baby will grow up to either be unhappy (and probably abused) or to become a jerk like it’s parents… and I honestly can’t tell what’s worse !
But there are a few things that they changed compared to the novel that I wished they had kept : -the reason of the "breakup" between Xuening and Zhang Zhe : while I could totally understand their reasons in the novel, the drama made it... how should I say ? It's pretty light and doesn't make as much sense -and the ending, more specifically, the scene when they end up the Xue family : it is completely different in the novel and there are two specific parts that I miss. First, the fact that we realize that Yan Lin actually remembered the past life, especially the fact that he had actually raped Ning Er. This rape was something that kinda remained a grudge in my heart towards Yan Lin and the fact that he remembered in the novel and even decided to let Xue Ning pick the next ruler made me feel like Ning Ning was finally getting reparation for what he did to her, that Yan Lin was getting a kind of retribution (not too much but not too less) and he was also getting a closure and an explanation as to why Xuening could not love him as he wanted And finally : I missed the fact that Xuening picked the princess to become the next ruler. First of all, this satisfies my girl power thinking. Second, I also liked that little moment when Xie Wei first thought that Xuening not picking him as the next emperor meant that she did not have him in his heart and then he had this moment of pure happiness when Xuening personally confirmed to the princess that she loved Xie Wei
I don't know, I feel like the ending was kinda rushed. Maybe they changed all of those fact to avoid the censorship about the rebirth part but I still think it would have been better for the scenario to keep these
He’s a singer or an idol turned actor.. but the FL is totally not the singer.. her singing voice is dubbed
It’s not that the actress is bad, I do think she’s good But I would have preferred for them to pick an actress who could sing, instead of being dubbed, for more authenticity and whose voice is a bit more… peculiar, I’d say ? I mean, after all, the female lead’s voice is one of her main characteristics So it’s not that the actress is bad : I just think they could have made a better choice for her part, and I don’t like the fact that they didn’t bother picking up an actress who could sing when the character is a professional singer
You know, I had only known TJC as an actor, never as a singer (I’m more into television and cinema than into music) so I had never heard him sing Therefore I didn’t know until now that he had such an enchanting voice 😭😭😭😭 Everytime i hear him sing, I feel like crying !
He did nothing wrong I’m just not a fan, it’s only a matter of taste, I didn’t mean he’s especially bad, he just never really striked me I honestly suspect it’s because I mainly saw him in projects that I didn’t like so much and that may not have highlighted his talent so much, a suspicion that strengthens since I’m pretty impressed by his acting here

I’ll say no more because last time I said something about Leo Wu, I got lashed out on like crap by his fans

In my opinion, producers then made a casting mistake here but that's just my personal opinion
I’m pretty sure they won’t die a second time
Therefore I didn’t know until now that he had such an enchanting voice 😭😭😭😭

Apparently, one of his dramas is currently airing
Maybe he’ll have a comeback
They’ll surely be out soon
Just to tell you that they’re not at all confirmed and that this is most likely a groundless rumor
So it basically doesn’t mean anything
I’m just not a fan, it’s only a matter of taste, I didn’t mean he’s especially bad, he just never really striked me

😂😂😂
I know, I know, this was lame but I had to do it !
