I think so too Actually, while watching TTEOTM, I watched a few extracts out of curiosity and it looks like a real breath of fresh air compared to the later ! This mix of fun and cuteness is precisely for me !
Just watched a few behind the scenes… I’m glad because it seems they added/changed a few things compared to the original. It’s good because although the original script was good, it was a bit lacking and poor and there were some elements which weren’t great and which wouldn’t be liked by today’s viewership It also seems they made the plot more intense, I like this !
A few episodes agoBecause the male lead found out Bua’s brother was directly involved in a relative’s death…
I don’t think he would have gone through it anyway, even without this secret being revealed Bua was too cruel and vicious and he never made a secret of the fact that he neither loved her nor wanted to marry her. Khun Luang is the kind of righteous man who has to obey his principles and his heart so I don’t think he could face forced himself. If Bua had been a kind or compassionate woman maybe he could have taken it upon himself to do so : but she was evil from the beginning, and would easily kill or beat up others like it was nothing. I don’t think he could have forced himself to marry a woman whom he knows treats other humans like ants
Out of pure curiosity : what made you unsatisfied ?I also feel somehow unsatisfied but I can’t put on my finger…
Oh I agree on that one, Orn did nothing wrong ! Ever when she was falling for Liang and he was smitten with her from the beginning, she always maintained a proper distance and did everything to not interfere in their engagement And I honestly that even without Orn or without the final reveal that Bua’s family was responsible for his brother’s death, Luang would eventually not have married Bua. He was reluctant from the beginning, and he never hid that he didn’t love her and didn’t want to marry her. And more importantly : Bua was a truly awful human being. She was vicious, jealous, cruel and had no compassion or respect for other lives, and I don’t think he would have been able to force himself to marry someone who treats human lives like ants But I think that what maki3112 meant wasn’t that Orn had a duty to help Bua : I think that she meant that the writers should have used a better trope to punish her and that having Orn help her redeem herself would have been more original
Hum… he’s someone extremely cold. Like he devoted all of his life to revenge and calculation. He’s not cruel…
Oh he definitely is ! 😆 But his jealousy never leads him to hurt the female lead or to pick a fight with her ! Rather, it leads him to realize how important she is to him However, it can lead him to go after his rivals 😅 (there are 2 scenes in perticular : one where he almost kills Zhang Zhe because JXN used herself to protect him because he was pointing an arrow at him and this turned him so angry ; a second is at the end, when… let’s just say he even took it on an innocent kid who praised Zhang Zhe 😂😂😂 lol, so immature)
Out of pure curiosity : what made you unsatisfied ?I also feel somehow unsatisfied but I can’t put on my finger…
Hmm, that’s a classic trope to punish the nang Rai in that dramas Having her raped. I’m not a fan of it either (most of the time) because I can’t help but feel like this strengthens rape culture and gives the impression that rape can sometimes be justified and that it’s okay to use it as a way to punish someone. Moreover, once again, the female character once again mainly evolves through sexuality (and jeez, we’re more than just a vagina !) And I don’t see why when the female lead gets raped by a male lead who wants to punish her, we should pity her and blame the male lead and be like « you went too far ! Now you must make up to her ! » but when it’s a villainess, we should be like « serves her right ! the rapist did a right thing ! ». Why should there be double standards for the same disgusting action ? Moreover, if we agree with rape being used to punish a villain, that kinda means we’re willing to tolerate the rapist and what he does. And I don’t see any way to feel like a rapist did the right thing And finally : it’s getting really old, predictable and overused. So it would be about time they find some other punishment for the nang Rai. Sorry for the long thesis😅
Hum… he’s someone extremely cold. Like he devoted all of his life to revenge and calculation. He’s not cruel as he won’t take pleasure in someone else’s sufferings, and he may even disapprove, but if it isn’t of any benefit to him, he won’t help as he will consider that this doesn’t have anything to do with him, and that he doesn’t have to be anyone’s savior in this harsh world (can’t blame him, though). So when he meets female lead, he’s kinda… let’s say it takes him a while to understand that she isn’t just a bystander to him for a very simple reason : he’s someone who didn’t even know he could have feelings. It’s not really his fault because he went through some REALLY traumatic experiences, thus his revenge and cold nature. So when h the female lead slowly but surely takes place in his heart, it kinda leaves him… astonished, even in denial sometimes : he won’t admit because he thinks it’s not possible, because he can’t recognize love and at the same time, he doesn’t understand why she stirs up these feelings in him, the need to help her when she’s in trouble, to comfort her when she’s sad, to hold her back when she tries to leave, to see and touch her, the discomfort and anger when seeing her show care to someone else or trying to leave him… And when finally he realizes it, she appears to him as the light of his life : let’s say that she’s the only person in his world who awakes love, affection and attachment in him. As a result, he considers her not only precious, even vital in his life (after all, what is a human being with no love or attachment in his life ? 😢) But at no point, he turns toxic. I definitely wouldn’t call him « a good person » because he’s cunning, manipulative and merciless towards his enemies, but to say he’s a bad person doesn’t seem right to me either. He’s someone who will be indifferent towards the rest of the world, even towards himself, but will treat the one he loves with the most care and affection, and won’t let anyone hurt her, not even himself, as if she’s the most important person in the world
When did the engagement between Bua and the ML ended? Or does it get dragged until the end of Lakorn?
A few episodes ago Because the male lead found out Bua’s brother was directly involved in a relative’s death (a sibling, I think) so he could no longer force himself with this engagement just to please his mom and respect the promise between their elders But honestly, I think they all knew this was bound to happen because Khun Luang never made a secret that he didn’t want to marry Bua, because Bua was a terrible person and I think eventually no one would have had the ability nor the heart to force him into this marriage
I doubt Xie Wei will be anywhere near as dark as in the novel and also some of the characters and plot plots as…
I don’t know for Xie Wei but that’s very likely for Jiang Xue Ning Although a part of the new trailer gives the impression of a scene where the past her tries to seduce Xie Wei, which kinda looks like her past-self in the novel. However, I’d be surprised if they keep two things : the part where she kinda seduces a lot of people to get her goal and is even willing at some point to go to Yan Lin to keep her position as an empress after her husband the emperor dies in the rebellion, because Chinese censorship doesn’t really like opportunistic, shameless seductresses (they’re kinda sexist on some things). And also the fact that she gets raped in the past life because whenever a female lead gets raped in a novel, this ALWAYS disappears in the drama adaptation (except in Sealed With A Kiss and Goodbye My Princess, but in this last one, rape was only suggested and viewers weren’t dumb enough not to guess) : Siege in Fog, General and I, The Confidence, Legend of Chong Zi, Once We Get Married, The Last Princess, All Out Of Love, Wonderful Time, I Love My President Even Though He’s A Psycho, Tears in Heaven…
But I should warn you : it can be pretty harsh sometimes

That would work !

They got married and lived happily ever after !
