This is another drama that will be in highlights of 2024!Binged and Finished Ep 10 and I am loving this drama…
I love them too, but I would encourage you temper your expectations for Spice up Our Love in terms of actual relationship development. I think most of it will occur in Ja-yeon's head during the middle of NGNL.
how much screen time the second lead couple are getting? I want to watch for them only
They get quite a bit of screentime together, and also separately. I definitely recommend watching it if just for them, and the main couple isn't bad either (I just am less invested in them)
Don't tell me all of this happened only when she fained and he took her to the hospital 🤣 ? It's a dream?
yup, either it's a cute "what if" or it's canon but takes place entirely in Ja-yeon's head when she's asleep in the hospital. I'm starting to think it's the latter, which also may be why she fell for Gyu-hyun pretty quickly after that
Yeah, I'm really confused how I'm supposed to feel about him. Sometimes he's a lovable doof type, but he keeps…
He initially pushed back against his mother's instructions (not very hard, but it still shows that they went against his values) and he showed guilt in ep 9 when he was thinking about his interactions with Ji-uk. It's definitely not enough, but I don't think it's fair to say that he's only being motivated by external consequences.
Why not punish the selfish 2ML's mom who manipulated and mistreated her poor husband into the arms of a woman…
They both suck, imo. The chairman for being unfaithful and caring more about a plant than his son and the wife for directing her anger and wrath towards parties who were innocent (Ji-uk, Gyu-hyun, and all of the unmarried women she won't let the company promote) just because she's powerless to punish the real culprit
Yeah, I'm really confused how I'm supposed to feel about him. Sometimes he's a lovable doof type, but he keeps…
That's exactly the point: he's not good or bad. He's flawed. He makes mistakes, but he learns from them (unfortunately his latest mistake is taking longer, because he's so enmeshed in his parents' dynamic)
You seem to not understand how the relationships with elders of the family look like in Korea. If you're thaught…
Just like he thinks it's unfair that women can't be promoted if they're not married, but he won't change it because his mom doesn't want him to. It makes sense: his dad is always letting his mom down, so his mom relies on him and he doesn't want to let her down. His arc in the show is learning to break free of the control his parents, particularly his mother, have over him, and act in line with his own values and morals.
I wonder how much of the spinoff he is ‘Kang Ha-jun’ vs. Bok Gyu-hyun?
