I know. But when I just started watching Chinese dramas, I would come here and see which dramas got high ratings because I did not yet know which ones would be good to watch. Yes, some of the ratings were absolutely accurate and led me to watch some of the best of the best dramas. But in my opinion the ratings have changed lately to a point I can't look at them at all anymore to figure out whether or not I would like to watch a drama. Now that I know so many of the Chinese actors and actresses and have watched a wide range of different actor's/actresses' works and different genres of Chinese dramas it's easier for me to ignore ratings here and just go with what I know based on my experience. However, sometimes even that fails me, like just a while ago with that silly drama I watched: I thought it would be good because of who was acting in it BUT... it didn't help, the writing/directing was so bad it made sure the drama was bad even with good actor/actress. So it seems very important to also be aware of the writers and directors and pay attention which dramas have the best writers/directors, this ensures that I end up choosing better dramas.

I've noticed increasingly that I need to stop trusting MDL ratings, they do not reveal the real state at all and often times are completely opposite of how I would rate the dramas. Just a while ago, an awful terribly bad drama was rated pretty high here and I KNOW it was a complete trash drama because I watched every episode of it and only then rated it with only 4 stars. And now this, The Wanted Detective, they are rating such a good drama low like so many other times. MDL nonsense, don't trust one bit. I've learned to trust my own gut instinct and to recognize the really good dramas myself apart from any ridiculous nonsense ratings that have nothing to do with reality. Unless I'm in the minority with a brain in my head and the majority actually like brainless bad acting and dramas, if that is the case and what the world has turned into, then yes, the MDL ratings are correct and reflect the majority's nonsense opinions.

Don't pay any attention to the hater comments, it's nonsense! Watch this drama, it's quality, really good, everything about it is wonderful! I love a drama that is intelligent and where I don't guess every outcome in a few seconds but keep getting surpised with the turn of events. Really good acting from all of the cast from young to old actors / actresses. A pearl. A gem. Love it!

Why are these people so horrible? I can barely watch this, it makes me sick to my stomach, horrible to watch. How can they do things like this to other people? Thank goodness it's nothing like this in my home country, I'm becoming increasingly grateful that I live here!

I added The Wanted Detective on my watchlist but now that it is on my watchlist the word "airing" in green color doesn't appear next to it even though it can be seen next to other airing dramas I have on my watchlist. A glitch?

I think it's different because someone using a celebs pic as a profile picture on social media doesn't profit from it but if someone uses my picture for a show and is profiting of the show where they put my picture without my consent then that's a problem. Not okay, especially if we are talking about pictures of babies and little children. This gives me the creeps, perhaps I should never ever put any pictures of my future children online anywhere just to be safe nobody does this to us!

I'm not talking about the picture of the idol. I mean how could they use random pics taken from the internet for their show without their consent or their parent's consent? That's not overlooking, that's plain wrong and illegal, and could be cause for suing. They should reprimand the people who were in charge of choosing the pictures.

Did you experience problems with the ep 3 voice? I started watching and the sound of the conversations is turned off and only a few words here and there can be heard every now and then, and the music can be occasionally heard. Very weird for them to upload such low quality unfinished product for people to watch and expect them to pay for it! Watching on WeTV,

How can they just download random child pictures from the internet, isn't that illegal?

I was going to ask the same thing, where did the conversation sounds disappear? I can't believe Tencent would load an unfinished work like this on their page for people to watch and expect them to pay for it, too! Unprofessional!

I watch for Reba.

I'll keep watching but I'll have to use the mute button and cover the screen for the scariest violent scenes, because for me sexual assault and violence against women is something traumatizing and makes me feel sick to my stomach, gives me anxiety and I react badly to it even though it's just a drama. I am so over sensitive. But I'll watch to support Reba.

To me it is scary: women being abducted by men to be sexually assaulted and violently abused is super scary to me. The first episode depicting violence towards women, being beaten by men, was very traumatic to watch. I had to mute it and cover the screen with my hands until it was over, I couldn't watch.

Does this fall under some forbidden subject now in China so they can't release it? Or did they not get funding or couldn't find a platform? Why do they work hard and film something just to never release the work? Don't they lose a lot of money doing that?

Can anyone help explain why Wu Xuyan Yi has drama Feud on her list of dramas she starred in but then she is marked as "unknown"? I watched the drama and I didn't see her in it at all. Why is it still claimed to be her drama?

Ep 36 and 37 my heart breaks for Xingchi 😭💔and for all his parents! I want to comfort him so bad! This is definitely Zhai Zi Lu's best role ever, he stole my heart from the start. I wish I could get a man like him! I'm dreading finishing the drama, what heartbreak will the last episode bring!
