Answer to your last question: Nope. I couldn't watch most of the violent scenes and there are a lot of them, so I had to turn the laptop down while the worst of them were happening. For me, very traumatizing. Still finished watching it, but it did have a bad effect on me, emotionally, I'm quite sensitive. Wanted to support Dilireba so I finished watching it.

Finished the drama. After all the attention on finding Ran Ran I felt the ending was a bit flat. They didn't show the reunion of mother and daughter so I am disappointed a little bit.

Me too! It was such a perfect ending! I was expecting a sad ending and then it worked out so perfectly without being dumb or lame, wow!

Really worth watching. It's crime, suspense, thriller, mystery. Not romance even though ML & FL have a relationship. If these are your type of genre, then go for it. It's intelligent. I especially enjoy the acting of Wang Xing Yue and Deng Kai in this drama, brilliant.

I am enjoying this drama so much!!! I really like Deng Kai here, his character Zhuge Kongyun is masterfully made, love it!

Can anybody help me? What episodes had something called "Qing Zheng Society"? I'm trying to locate the episode/episodes where there is this character Da Bei played by Shen Qi, I couldn't find him no matter how hard I tried to find him. Anyone?

Tianai was wonderful, I started to like her so much after that role. She was the best part of that drama.

This drama is giving me such Fighting For Love (2024) vibes on several occasions. I liked that drama and like this one too, but even more!

Yep, that's what I do too. But sometimes a drama doesn't start out strong in the first episode and I don't like it at first. Later when I give the drama another chance I often find out that once I get over the not-so-good first episode or a couple of episodes, the rest of the drama suddenly starts to get really good and I'm hooked. Which is why I usually watch a really wide range of different genres, different actors, and give the drama a real chance. And it's also why I usually won't drop a drama until I have really watched several episodes and cannot stomach it anymore. Sometimes even then I will finish the drama just to support an actor/actress that just happened to be cast in a bad drama. This year alone, two actresses that I didn't like at all before changed my mind completely because I gave their dramas a chance. Those dramas became some of my very biggest favorites, and now one of the actresses has become my absolute darling.

I know. But when I just started watching Chinese dramas, I would come here and see which dramas got high ratings because I did not yet know which ones would be good to watch. Yes, some of the ratings were absolutely accurate and led me to watch some of the best of the best dramas. But in my opinion the ratings have changed lately to a point I can't look at them at all anymore to figure out whether or not I would like to watch a drama. Now that I know so many of the Chinese actors and actresses and have watched a wide range of different actor's/actresses' works and different genres of Chinese dramas it's easier for me to ignore ratings here and just go with what I know based on my experience. However, sometimes even that fails me, like just a while ago with that silly drama I watched: I thought it would be good because of who was acting in it BUT... it didn't help, the writing/directing was so bad it made sure the drama was bad even with good actor/actress. So it seems very important to also be aware of the writers and directors and pay attention which dramas have the best writers/directors, this ensures that I end up choosing better dramas.

I've noticed increasingly that I need to stop trusting MDL ratings, they do not reveal the real state at all and often times are completely opposite of how I would rate the dramas. Just a while ago, an awful terribly bad drama was rated pretty high here and I KNOW it was a complete trash drama because I watched every episode of it and only then rated it with only 4 stars. And now this, The Wanted Detective, they are rating such a good drama low like so many other times. MDL nonsense, don't trust one bit. I've learned to trust my own gut instinct and to recognize the really good dramas myself apart from any ridiculous nonsense ratings that have nothing to do with reality. Unless I'm in the minority with a brain in my head and the majority actually like brainless bad acting and dramas, if that is the case and what the world has turned into, then yes, the MDL ratings are correct and reflect the majority's nonsense opinions.

Don't pay any attention to the hater comments, it's nonsense! Watch this drama, it's quality, really good, everything about it is wonderful! I love a drama that is intelligent and where I don't guess every outcome in a few seconds but keep getting surpised with the turn of events. Really good acting from all of the cast from young to old actors / actresses. A pearl. A gem. Love it!

Why are these people so horrible? I can barely watch this, it makes me sick to my stomach, horrible to watch. How can they do things like this to other people? Thank goodness it's nothing like this in my home country, I'm becoming increasingly grateful that I live here!
