You wouldn't happen to know when he was born? I mean the year? MDL only has the date of his birth, I am curious as to which year he was born and how old he is now but I can't find that info anywhere. My Chinese is still not good so I can't understand anything on his Weibo page.
I had forgotten how good Flourished Peony was, now I remember how much I loved every bit of it. I'm so happy to watch In the Name of Blossom, this might end up being one of my favorites this summer! 💕
Viki is going to air it starting from tomorrow you guys 😆😆https://www.viki.com/tv/41180c-in-the-name-of-blossom?utm_campaign=container_share&utm_source=unified&utm_medium=share_button_android&utm_term=41180c&utm_content=social-post
I must admit, I also saw the wolf attack a bit OTT
I was thinking that wild wolves wouldn't behave like that but if they had been tamed and trained, it might be distantly possible. It just bothers me because every year there's at least one C-drama with a nonsense wolf scene in an otherwise good drama. I wish they didn't use them. But just now I am watching an older C-drama, The Longest Day in Chang'an, where they have a wolf scene that isn't actually nonsense, it was realistic and reasonable and done with a real animal instead of fake wolves. I quite enjoyed it precisely because other dramas do the wolf scenes so badly. However, The Princess's Gambit continues and is getting interesting, so, forget about the silly wolves.
I must admit, I also saw the wolf attack a bit OTT
I did a presentation on wolves and learned how they really behave, so maybe that's why I am particularly annoyed when they keep using silly wolf attacks in dramas. Yes, wolves are dangerous but they are also smart. They wouldn't waste their time on some random revenge attack where they don't act as a pack but instead each of them just runs around biting different individuals. That never happens! They always look for a weak prey, work together to surround it and attack together to bring it down. They would have avoided a large group of people like that, besides, there were armored soldiers around, yet they want us to believe they were defenseless against a bunch of wolves? Come on, please, writers, don't insult my intelligence, that's all I ask!
I've been waiting for this drama, love Liu Xue Yi and Meng Zi Yi but I have to say the first episode's writing with the wolf attack was ridiculous. I wish writers would refrain from silly plot twists that make absolutely no sense. Hopefully the rest of the drama is written better.
Do you think the filmmakers intend for us to question who was Lei Chun's attacker? The first time around I was…
I actually thought so too because I haven't read the novel, so I have no idea what is going to happen while I am watching. It gave me the creeps, I really thought Bai Chou Fei had turned evil, like since he can't have her then he is going to take her by force. I had to come here in the comment section to find out who it was so that I could keep watching, it really freaked me out! I only remembered 2 characters wearing white though. But also, for a moment, I thought maybe one of the characters from early on had come back for a revenge on them, thankfully it wasn't that either. It makes perfect sense now when I read who it is, of course it's him. But I had the same reaction as you, thinking did the writer do it on purpose to try to make viewers think it's someone else. Thankfully they didn't make the scene too graphic, I couldn't handle it, even this already made me feel nauseous!
Hey! If you are still interested in watching, it has all been uploaded subbed in English here. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8R-uen6FfFzidbM9f2f1vvZ1D7VI5-HB&si=h5U28NC9h_rkRL5C
