Well they hardly ever make it very obvious with So Ji Sub's leading ladies. Doctor Lawyer: not a romance Terrius…
Lots of people arent mad just because it looks like a noona romance. It feels like both actors are typecastin themselves by choosing similar scripts.
Lots of the noona romance bashing isnt purely because of the age gap. Sometimes scripts just suck, and the characters are portrayed with clear power imbalances. The reason that noona romances outnumber oppa romances by a huge margin is because people WATCH them. Why would production companies make so many if our "heteronormative" society wasnt gobblin them up?
I hope that SHK has more life in this one! I am SOOOO TIRED OF THE SAME ROLE that she portrays in all her dramas.…
She was honestly really good in the movie My Palpitating Life as the mother of a terminally ill child. I was surprised... she'd do well exploring different genres
Why do people assume SHK is bad at acting? She was good in that winter the wind blows and other dramas too. In…

Doctor Lawyer: not a romance Terrius Behind Me: FL is a recently widowed woman with two small children - and there was very slight romance most of the time it was just portraying two people helping each other overcome grief and move on Oh My Venus: FL is an experienced lawyer and she doesn't look very young next to him. They never ever even call attention to the fact. Master's Sun: doesnt count because FL and he are only two years apart Ghost: no romance
Whereas with SHK it always feels like the drama is announcing WELL HELLO THERE! THIS IS! A NOONA ROMANCE! DO YOU SEE THE YOUNG MAN? DO YOU SEE THE NOONA? THIS IS A NOONA ROMANCE!!!!
Draw attention to an older man/younger woman age gap or make the FL a student like half these noona dramas and everybody will start talking about "grooming"
Where are y'all finding so many oppa dramas? It's obvious that noona romances outnumber oppa romances any day.
Acc to MDL kdramas with General noona romances: 192 (20 in 2021 alone) General oppa romances: 101 (4 in 2021 alone)
Add a release date filter for dramas from 2010 to 2022(The vast majority of drama fans don't watch dramas older than that) and the numbers are Noona romances: 152 Oppa romances: 73
All-time noona romances where there's an age gap both in real life and drama life: 55 All-time oppa romances where there's an age gap both in real life and drama life: 41
All I'm saying is - numbers aren't a valid argument for or against noona romances. Those who say they're tired of the influx of noona romances are justified in their opinion.
Encounter was a huge hit though? It's not the fact that people don't like noona romance, it's the fact that they're…
honestly, more than it being a noona romance its the fact that we haven't seen anything other than noona romance when Song Hye Ko is the FL since DOTS.
I loved this series in the beginning, but now honestly I just wish it ends quickly. There's something about Soo…
same lol there's something about Seul Bi that I just don't like anymore. Maybe her absolute bipolar behavior "Go away, we broke up let's never see each other again" "Let's meet and eat together" smile smile "Leave this place" "Come eat with us" smile smile
Honestly sometimes I wish ML would leave the whole Geumhwa Group thing and be with the chicken shop girl she's hilarious and the market ppl are all so warm. It would solve the problem of him having such a sad face all the time too.
Just go to the advanced search and set the country filter to "Taiwan" by checking the box next to it.
Do you see the search feature at the top of the page? don't type anything in it and just click the search button. That will open the advanced search. Scroll down and find the "Advanced Filter" title. Under it, you will see three buttons: "Titles," "People," and "Articles."
Click on "Titles." It will open a dropdown list of different categories. Check the "Dramas" option in the "Type" category. Then click on "Country" to open the dropdown list of Asian countries. Check the box for Taiwan. You can open the other categories for more specific searches. Finally, click "search." MDL will show the relevant dramas.
The ending ruined it for me. The chemistry between the main couple was the best of all the version's but the end…
Well it wasnt really bad - we can just assume that she really is pregnant and the parallel they drew from S1 for the last scene was so cute. I've rewatched the series tons of times and the end never bothered me... the whole show always felt more like a reality show than a scripted drama and the last scene was like a tiny reassurance to the audience, that this adorable couple is just going to be happy forever, finding love and laughter even in the insignificant moments of everyday life, holding each other's hands and walking(tripping or stumbling is probably a better description for these dorks XD) towards a happily ever after. ❤️
Will be translated to English and posted on the Viki cover page soon
I'm kidding sorry if that sounded mean
