yeah I think they're hinting at that by the way he yells "It's not your fault!" repeatedly but he still can't bring himself to be with her as usual. He knows it's not her fault and I don't think he's blaming her either - guess he needs some time to process things and grieve properly for his mom.

CEO had a wife, remember? Min Joon had to come from somewhere, and so did CEO.(Min Joon speaks about his mom somewhere in the series too "Did you hide her from Mom? I've never seen you be so affectionate with mom like you're with her.") I highly doubt CEO and mom are full-blooded siblings. lol it's like the men HAVE to have daughters with the shamans and sons with someone else idk why this is funny to me my sense of humor is broken

It could also be the Korean War so that could cut like 5-7 years from your estimate 😂 still semi-immortal but whatever. The grandpa does look like he's in his 90s

I also thought the exact same thing, but I finally went back and watched the beginning scenes again. It's not the same woman... I guess they picked really similar looking actors lol. Did you know the guy who played the king was the SML? I nearly died laughing when I saw it was actually him in disguise XD

on another note: so they're seriously trying to inbreed?!! that is just sick. At least it never actually worked lol. CEO's father seemed like he didn't want CEO to be with his daughter(?) though. They mentioned that CEO "stole" her.
Now I have to spend another sleepless night wondering why Mom would try to kill her father and WHY Grandma would take the bullet instead -_- My last few brain cells are having a terrible workout.

They did mention that they meet men tho I didnt hear them say they don't need men to have children..? The Joseon era ancestor clearly said "We will have a daughter" and they totally implied a bed scene after that...

I thought the soldier guy was the FL's grandmother's husband(the one who saved the lady) but then I also thought he was the current chairman's father so that makes no sense whatsoever and I'm completely muddled up.

Question 1: WHO was the soldier guy who became a CEO?

Question 2: WHO is the current chairman's father WHY did the FL's mom take a bullet for him?

Question 3: How does FL's mom know ML's mom? Also how does FL's bio dad know ML's adoptive dad?

Question 4: Why didn't the mom take the chance to leave?

Question 5: How does FL's bio dad come into the picture and how the heck did the FL's mom end up running away and having a child with someone who seems to be the secretary of the chairman's much-hated slimeball brother?

Question 6: WHAT THE HECK WILL HAPPEN TO THEM IF THEY GO OUT INTO THE WORLD?

I literally cant stop before I find all this out... cant believe how much mystery the writers are pushing us into when I thought this was a nice night fluffy romcom. Feels like a total extra-dramatic makjang-type soap opera inside a weird suspense-mystery inside a cute, funny romcom *_*

If you take into account that he's a small-town guy, a lot of his actions make sense. He doesn't wait long before proposing, he isn't immediately suspicious about things or people, his thought processes are simple... but yeah it can get frustrating. But in another way, he seems like a good match for the new-to-the-outside-world FL. Small-town guy meets Rapunzel - the intellectual gap isn't very large

As for the two men, it's what is is driving the plot rn... the big mystery that probably won't get revealed till like ep 10.

IKR I'm so scared now getting together in Ep 6 makes hellish breakups and separations all the more possible 😭😭

In the flashbacks, we all see FL's mom kiss the chairman. She still has her powers tho

I love it a lot. I see a lot of the reviews having problems with the characters being different from what we're used to(so many blurred lines and grey characters) but I find it all pretty intriguing and hilarious... it makes me laugh, it makes me cry, it makes my heart flutter. I can't wait for new eps.

Maybe its because I've been watching a lot of revenge dramas lately... I kinda like seeing the ML's approach to things(I know, I know, theres some plot stupidity too but STILL). Not everyone's response to situations is the same. He isn't thirsty for revenge. I'm not saying standing up and fighting is wrong. I just like that this character is different. He isn't curious. He knows who had a hand in the bad things that happened to him and he does hold a grudge, but he isn't looking for confrontation. He just doesn't want to see them all again and relive the past. He decided to move on and live a different life than the one he originally planned. He didn't put up walls and didn't shut people out... he just chose to keep smiling and being witty in spite of his reputation as a bad omen, even thought he harbors some deep-seated fear that the people e gets close to will leave. I don't see why he should be condemned for that. At the rate it's going, the "Big Bad Psycho" is literally dragging his own ass to hell - he doesn't really need "good guys out for revenge" to escort him there.

Overall, I guess this drama isn't meant for people who need tight scripts with no logic holes. There's a lot of weird stuff but I love how crazy and cute it is. I'm interested to see how all this plays out and how ML handles his past experiences being forced in his face. I found that a lot of the characters dont have straightforward, cut-and-dried personalities that let us easily classify them as "good" or "bad." There's lots of information that they're holding back. SML seemed like a person I'd have SLS over but now I'm backtracking... I sometimes don't thing Sam Joong is the main villain and the brother might have a bigger part to play - both of them are psychos but I can't help but wonder what actually happened and why the mom doesn't leave.

When did they say that kissing makes the person human? I dont think that's a thing...

The drama itself doesn't make a big deal of her being "younger" anyway... they hardly mention her age and even when they do, it's only in relation to the timeline of events, like the mom running away and the dad going to jail
