I wouldn’t say it’s his best acting but for sure he’s finally portraying character which is different than the ones he played before. He also has some comedy potential and I love to see it here ❤️

Check out his role in Blossom in Adversity, that’s my favorite role of his by far ❤️

I am doing exactly the same thing with 'What If'. Dropped it but still finding it entertaining to go through the comment section

will this be on wetv?
Right now it looks like it will be only on Tencent. I was also looking for that information to only find out it's gonna air outside of China on Disney Hotstar and Viki.

I think it will depend on what type of sub you have ... VIP or SVIP etc
Right now looks like it’s not gonna air on WeTV (if this is what you meant by international Tencent).

Disney Hotstar and Viki are other platforms which plan to air it. I guess Viki will be 1 or 2 days behind Tencent 🥲

Any ideas if it's gonna officially air on international sites? E.g. WeTV?
Got some answer, it’s gonna air on Viki for international fans 👌

Yeah, I watched the teasers for 2 next episodes but still I didn’t get her decision to be in “secret relationship”. I wouldn’t be bothered if she would give it some reason behind it but nope 😅

Thoughts after ep20 (mostly, rant on female characters but also what I've liked so far)
I can't believe I am writing this, but at this moment the relationship between Xu Yan and Jia Lin appears to be the most interesting one. He's bringing some view on grief and remorse, how to move on after being alone for so long. Suddenly, Jia Lin stopped being a whiney child and it made her much more likable as character.

At this point, I have a hard time when it comes to the 2 'main' female characters of this drama. Both are annoying as hell.

Special award for Tong Yiwen who doesn't understand the industry she's been working in for at least 10 years. When she was whining that she wants to be "the model", not "the salesman" I just lost it xD Like, girl, that's your work. To be the face of brands. To make products sell. And the way she was so sad because her career 'is over' because she's in her 30s. Did she really think that she's gonna do this forever? All models know that it's a job that has it's expiry date and plan what to do when the time comes. Oh, don't forget about the reason why she rejected Jiacheng - becuase 'they loved each other TOO MUCH'. Girl, you don't even really know him. You were on a few 'dates', that's it. She's also giving me some gold digger vibes, but let's leave it before I will get angry again xD

The FL is just not mature at all and doesn't know what she wants. But she became so sad and poor when ML cut the ties with her after SHE decided that she doesn't want to continue the relationship. Wtf? And the last episode when she decided to keep their relationship a secret? Why? Just why? Are you a teenager afraid of your strict parents? Is he someone you would be ashamed of being seen together? Is anything wrong about you both being together? I just don't get it. This character makes no sense at all.

The friendship between male characters is the best part and I admit that the interview anecdotes at the beginning of odd-numbered episodes always brings some value. It's either funny or makes the ML lead more interesting, brings some depth to his character. You can believe he's a journalist who writes a good articles.

Ok, the strongest part of this drama is Hu Yitan. You can clearly see he had some fun on the set, while playing this character. It's not his usual 'cold male' role so it's refreshing. He's a good actor, love his more comedic side too. Looking forward his other project which will let him show more of those.

After seeing TYW do her ”modelling“, i know why she does not get any jobs. She has only one expression on…
Oh my, I’ve just got to that part. Her walking on runway gave me chills (in a bad way). Not mentioning how irresponsible it was to walk with injury. If she’s been working in an industry FOR YEARS she should know how much effort and money the organization of fashion show costs and aknowledge the responsibility she has to deliver the job she was payed for. If something goes wrong she could ruin the show and work of many other people.

Additional fun fact on the couple I know - she was dating her initial crush for some time but ended up with that friend anyway ;)

I think in this drama the situation may be quite similar when it comes to working out what are the feelings towards other people.

FL needs to REALLY get over her crush first to genuinely fall for the ML. It's more natural that it takes a while and includes a lot of misunderstandings and confusing situations/feelings.

Do you think it's better to watch it while it's airing or to wait and binge-watch it later?
Since it's 40 episodes, I would say that would be better to watch when on air as binge-watching contemporary c-dramas which are that long may be a challenge (that's my experience and personal opinion, ofc :))
