fun fact I discovered: the director self-referenced that shot of the arrow breaking the drop earring. you can see it in the trailer for A Familiar Stranger
I am crowning her father as the weakest and most annoying father ever in a C-drama. That man is locked in a victimization…
I feel like the father has never grown up. he's been manipulated by his brother since he was young and is stuck in the cycle of obeying his toxic brother to keep the peace in the family
Truly thrilled how well the first 4 episodes delivered! Was gripped from the get go, and the 2nd case in particular…
They explained earlier in the episode about the girl's situation with her grandmother dying and briefly living with her aunty. it's not all the time but someone who murders three people cruelly like that must have a history of violence in their childhood, hence his guess that she was tortured by the person who raised her. and the aunty is her sister's mother so I think he drew an older version of her with slightly different features, as it was established in season 1 that he can draw people when they were young or how they'll look in the future. I think the flashback with the aunty was something the writers put in that was obviously her memory but I think Shen Yi guessed at it then realised it when he visited her
Twice in episode 7 is a bit much isn't it? Gold hidden in dumplings and butterflies. (Wait, butterflies are dangerous?…
the setup can't be solved just like that. if they exposed the whole business with sachet, the whole family would have been executed since he is the grandson of the prime minister. it wouldn't matter who gave him the sachet, it's the fact that it got to him with bad intentions. there are so many ways ML could have interpreted the facts if he wanted to get justice for the boy but he chose not to since he could tell that FL is different from her family.
