the way he was a terrible one in dashing youth. I don't trust him lol. the fact that he believes murong jinghe really killed those people is a red flag
Wu jinyan was wonderful in that hallucination scene. hilarious and so sad at the same time. like someone who's gone insane after losing her loved ones. the way she kept saying "da" broke my heart, by the third one her voice broke. Please whatever awards are given for tv in china, she has to win for this! 10s across the board! But also, the enemies part of enemies to lovers is not done yet like the trailer for ep 5 led us to believe, more angst is coming!
honestly between all the dramas I've watched this is the second time someone on a wheelchair is pictured with…
I've seen an ML in a wheelchair in one of those melodramatic short dramas on YouTube which was unfortunately trash lol. Weirdly it has almost the same premise
Just finished episode 2 and omgggg??? Lol the last scene reveal??? All I was yelling at my screen was "this crazy…
THISSS!!! and not a stupid assassin who constantly fails at being an assassin! she's properly shaped by her training. this girl means business! I love it!
MuRong JingHe’s screen presence was always magestic!!! Love how Liu XueYi has designed his laughs for the character,…
I love that he goes on with his plan even though the set up is romance! It doesn't undermine his character and throw the plot away to make him softer. It also doesn't insult the army he's sworn to get justice for. He knows why she does what she does but in the end she's a pawn to get what he needs. I'm so interested to see how they will navigate him 'saving her' because right now he's not interested at all LOL. Unless she saves herself maybe
Liu Xue Yi!!! My god he is acting his ass off. I keep rewinding his scenes, he's so beautiful. Lord. I love the way he says "Benwang". The acting choice to laugh through pain, anger and humiliation is interesting and drew me in from the trailers but I thought he would do it once or twice, not almost every scene. I could do with less of it but he's killing it regardless. Wu Jin Yan is so good as well, to the point I'm wondering if she took care of her mental health through filming. She literally looks like she crawled out of hell. She's not afraid of looking ragged, no hairpins in her hair while in prison getting tortured, and no hairpins in bed (unlike some shows I won't name). I don't know who made the choice, either her or the director, but I like that they make me believe that she'll do anything for revenge. I also have the feeling that Prince Jing started this 10 year plan after seeing her determination for revenge.
The writing is so smart. At first I thought they made both Prince Jing and the Crown Prince smart and MJH will have a setback but he anticipated it! I don't know if it's because I've been reading more c web novels but I was able to see what his plan was with Mei Lin and I'm so glad it played out satisfactorily. But then again he's not so perfect because Mei Lin has discovered something he never found in 10 years. I also noticed the wound on his lip was kept the next day, good continuity. I love a good enemies to lovers, this man doesn't give af lmaooo! There's a tad too much exposition for my taste but that's usual in c-dramas so I'll give it a pass. Dark romance is in! So far I'm obsessed. I hope this will stick a good landing.
Mi Die and Ni Ni broke my heart. I understand both sides and why he would pull back. But honestly he’s 30 in a house of 20 year olds, it’s hard to find someone who’s been in a deep relationship in that stage. Probably to him he feels like if he’s hurt at the beginning then something’s already wrong, there’s no reason to continue. But then I feel like even if it’s not with Ni Ni, he doesn’t necessarily need to find someone that’s been in love, just someone who’s ready to be in love
He was going to war with a high likelihood that he would die so she pretended to be ill before they married. He took the excuse and told his mother it seems like she is making excuses, so let’s just cancel it. She hasn’t made trouble yet for the FL, so far she’s only spied on her and told him she’d accept FL as a concubine
I want to understand why she’s trafficking the iron.
A comment below said (which I agree with) that she did it to support Zi Yu initially because he was the rightful heir. The money would fund an army to stage a coup.
HELP! im so lost.. did i skipped on some scenes... i remember the queen dowager talking to Minister Shi that he…
they were deposed. I think he lied to her to appease her so that she wouldn't see it coming. after all he lied about how her brother got hurt and how the commander of the imperial guards (I think he was?) died.
