this is all okay but my problem with her is that she is obtuse and cannot read the room. her brother clearly told her not to enter the poetry contest and in private thinks that she's making him a laughingstock. she has stubbornly decided to enter the contest because 'she knows her brother best.' she uses her authority to go to the bureau not to learn from them but perform dangerous experiments with no expertise, knowing very well they can't refuse her because she is royalty. lastly, she barely studies which is why she has little knowledge of poetry but relies on her servants to interpret it for her and has no desire to improve herself. why force yourself to be someone you aren't? in the end it will be her folly, unless something else is revealed about her character.
