Your article brought back good feelings! Thank you! I want to say (without spoiling) - what made the AOS quote all that more romantic is that it was about them... the way she expressed her feelings , not with typical words etc.. -good choice!
Very interesting!!! Typically canadian students don’t wear school uniforms at the elementary level. but some schools do. Usually private schools and religious schools. This article took me back to school days and of course all the school dramas I have watched - I think I mentioned before that they have a special place in my heart. As you discussed individuality I vividly recalled all the ways were “adjusted” our skirts in school so we could meet the length requirements in school and then immediately adjust when we leave!! The boys would have their ties off in a plot second hanging like a scarf around their neck!!! One of the most lax uniform “policy” I saw was in Extraordinary You !! The variations of their uniform due to thie crazy “takes” were fun to watch !! Also -yes - I know of the use to recognize passage I time/change of seasons !!!!in dramaland and real life!!!! The Chinese drama I am currently watching (Time and Him are just right) show the change of semesters along with change of weather with a move from summer to winter uniforms. Very timely example S I read your article. As usual well done!! Both of you. Great collab!!👏 (I have not proofed this long response - I apologize in advance for errors - it’s just you guys got me on a roll !!)
Holy Hannah!!! Does Lee Jong Suk actually have a drama in which he has a dad that did not die!!!!!!!!!! I never thought of it before ... but you are right!!! Recently Bad Prosecutor had an "All of us are Dead" and "justice for the dead dad".... Also, I really loved the dad in "Extraordinary Attorney Woo". There is so much to say about choosing to be a single dad and of course of a child who is on the spectrum. As usual my friend, this was a thought provoking article , well done! 🥰
First: Happy 25th!!! 🥇 🥂 - That is the factor that usually determines my binges... time. For me,a binge can actually be in one sitting ... or just watching only 1 drama. I have saved dramas to have a down day and just watch it from beginning to end. But then I have also just watched a drama without taking time off and watching others on my list and that is a "binge" as well. Because I am ignoring all the others 🤣🤣 . But either way... you are absolutely correct, the dramas that I do this with have to be the kind you can do it with. Some dramas have topics and scenes that need you to take a break and come back to them, so having others on the CW to go back to in between is very important! I guess that's why I am one of these that usually has a "mix" on my CW - you know... like a 100 episode daytime drama and multiple different types just to match my mood and how much time I have. As usual you have us thinking about our lives as a "drama watcher" in a different way... well done 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I found my favourite KPop groups through dramas so they will forever be intertwined so I totally get the connections you are making in your article. very nice... also inspired me to find out which dramas I have watched with KPop Idols... so i started a list... https://kisskh.at/list/1Xzj55e3 will add as i find the rest... maybe some of mine will be in your pt. 2... 🥰
I have only just discovered this actor, I recently watched him in Your Honour and currently watching It's Beautiful Now (same actress plays him mum in both! 😀 ) ,
I am so happy you got something out of reading this even though you didn't know the writer. ❤️🥳❤️ And…
of course! just need to set aside time to truly appreciate all the hard work you both put into this... even though I only know Another Miss Oh... and that was good - it took me two tries to finish.. and My Mister... I never actually wanted to watch... although recently.... Changmin (TVXQ) says he likes Liberation Notes so I was thinking about watching but ... was not attracted to it... I definitely think screenwriters play a part in the stories we are attracted to... so the article was actually interesting from the perspective that you may have highlighted things that made me understand why this is a writer that i particularly shy away from... from your article it is the heavier life themes ('cause you know i like fluff ) 🤣🤣 all of it ... fascinating.... ❤️
I finally got time to read... and think about this . 1st: GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS! … while I don’t know this writer… your ideas definitely had me contemplating the importance of a screenwriter in a way I never did before. ... I am not someone who pays attention to the writers...(sorry) ... but after reading, i realize that there are definitely writers that I might be aligned with... so I took a look at three of my all time favourite dramas : 1) While You Were Sleeping - written by Park Hye Ryun who also wrote 3 other dramas I loved: Pinocchio, I Hear Your Voice and Start Up!! 2) You’re Beautiful – writers: Hong Jung Eun with Hong Mi Ran also wrote: Alchemy of Souls, Warm and Cozy, The Master's Sun, The Greatest Love, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, My Girl… again: all dramas I enjoyed 3)Secret Garden - writer: Kim Eun Sook - also wrote: The King: Eternal Monarch, Goblin, Descendants of the Sun, The Heirs – again, dramas I enjoyed Now, I will have to pay more attention to the writers... Thanks to both of you for being positive MDL influencers! 🥰
