Great review, thank you! : Wanted to share a favourite moment of mine:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSd3F9TXnCM "one step, that should be okay".. it resonates for many reasons but these two are particularly poignant at this TIME in world history: 1) the idea of a unified people 2) the idea of tolerance for other cultures and lifestyles
I wish to say that there is so much about his show to love, there are so many nuanced themes that it is worth taking your time to savour the episodes.
One of the themes throughout the show is the idea of one united people of Korea. e.g. We see this in the scene with the Korea vs Japan match. Two different cultures but ultimately they belong to what was one country. Many times in the show they mention they mention "reunification"
Another big them was the idea that we don't have to change how people live, we accept and adapt when we are the north and the south. There are comments throughout about how to manage life in the two different regions. But even so, they accept the difference and there is much respect in the show.
This clip, him stepping over that line when he is trained to harm others who do that. One step should be okay. One step to come together as one united world, one step towards treating all people equally.
A well -written story gives us all sometime to ponder, this was a well-written story with ideas well beyond the gut-wrenching romance
Lee Hong Ki’s Promise and Still from you’re beautiful are on a rotating playlist of mine. His voice is perfectly…
Yes. Unique indeed. I have quite a bit of his songs on various playlists for mood lifting! Was listening to “Pathfinders” last week just because it is such a feel good song and so appropriate for turmoil in the world when everything In the is so unclear
Some of mine: 1. Couldn’t Leave - Dimash, “Go Go Squid” 2. As We Are - Three Laws, “Lion Pride” 3. Bye…
I am so glad that Go Go Squid got a mention. When that show was on I was playing the theme song and the interlude song and milk bread all the time. They are still on a feel good playlist of mine. The thing about soundtrack music is that it does not have to be perfect. It takes you back to the feelings and that makes them special.
Nice list! I love drama OSTs and I almost don't listen to anything else nowadays. Sondia and Punch always have…
Lee Hong Ki’s Promise and Still from you’re beautiful are on a rotating playlist of mine. His voice is perfectly suited to exploring emotions in dramas.
I love them!! I often listen to "You like me" by kim Bo Kyung from Kill It (I love and hate this drama so much,…
Three song from the While you were sleeping soundtrack made it To a regular playlist. I love you. It’s you and when a long night comes. They were earworms while I watched that film and they take me back to good feels of that drama.
