Be With You 2017? How is the drama? Is your "Yuan Shuai" at school also your honey now?
-has up to ep 22 with vip , up to 16 without (BWY) -Clarification: school friends, then the parting, then the reconnection, then the love.... that is my story... his story is more like Yuan Shaui... that he was always there for this girl and he had to wait years for her to realise! -FINE! I will accept the consensus that you don't have to die for the one you love ....tbh real life is better.... some drama boyfriends may get boring after a while ... NOT Yuan Shuai though! - he knows how to keep it interesting! XD .. I have been told that the key is to recognize that even though we feel it comes naturally but it is actually something that you have to plan and work on... which is THIS article is good... we need to think about things like making a relationship grow and prosper.... Looking forward to the new article....
Yes. He is. I have a cliche love story - VERY CLICHE... just like the dramas! We throw cliches in just for the heck of it! Today we are re-enacting bickering couples and tantrums! I blame Love and Redemption.... because he could not say he would die for me in just this 1 measly lifetime!!!!!
Fun article! one of the things that stuck out for me was in LiS they returned to sites from school days ...perhaps another simple romantic idea is a stroll down memory lane. Recalling little scenes they had together. You could even do it virtually now. They walked through streets they did as children etc.
For single individuals - strolling through and discussing historical and architectural tidbits. (As seen in Be With You).
PS. I have my own “Yuan Shuai ” whom I also met in school and in response to if I have ever tried these, the answer is yes in some form or another pretty much all of them. Because it really has to be modified to fit the persons involved. For example learning a new skill. My honey already plays the guitar but he dislikes country music (which is one of my favourite) so he found a song that was sappy country and learned it to play and sing for me. It was a surprise and delight in many ways.
Good job on the article. You highlighted much of the great parts of this show. The Dynamic FL and the crackling chemistry. But I must say that I felt these two aspects which hooked me to this show felt flat in the latter half. But all the dimensions you mentioned are definitely there and this drama was worth it from my perspective as well. Thanks for the hard work in putting this together.
Insightful post. I think you got this. I was very hesitant to watch this drama due to the topic but while IONTBO is not perfect by any means, I agree that there are themes and ideas that make you stop and think. You consider the other person's "reality" and that promotes tolerance. I like that message.. The mental health awareness message is timely for our society.... not trying to solve societal issues, just bringing it to light and leaving the open-ended questions as you suggest. We can only work towards healing when we acknowledge the issue. Thank you for positioning this drama's message in this light!
Great job. Thank you for this. (I agree with K2 only being good for oppa’s ab shots!!!! ). This was an extremely healthy article and it can only improve the reputation of this forum. It clearly promotes respect for everyone’s opinions and tastes. I like that. I am new to this forum and I am glad to see this type of interaction. Cheers!!
I enjoy a good social message in my dramas as well. Thank you for highlighting how important cultural forms are in promoting tolerance. It is interesting how one simple message can connect with the audience and engage their attention to the rest of the production. Good article, well done.
Thank you for your article. I am new to this forum and have never watched one of these shows (Lakorns?) previously, your article has me thinking of watching - because - I "like totally" get your comment regarding "trigger" topics. This is the reason I forayed into K-Dramas in the first place- for more choices - to limit - violence , psychological mind games , angst, etc.. After reading your article I can see there are even more choices .. and a relatively easy way to access using the tags on this forum..... thanks for sharing...
We should be grateful for these so true real life scenarios. They are the reasons Kdramas exist. Those Kdrama scenes were written in someone’s head when facing reality and thinking he should be doing this right now instead. Cue scene!! :)
There is so much togetherness in ep 16 I don’t Know if I can handle the angst and separation that is going to be needed to take this to 31 episodes. I feel like maybe I should just stop here with the happy ....
Thank you for the references to the greatest love stories I know (i.e. from Jane Austen! :) ). I am only up to episode 12 (because that is all Viki has) but I think you are spot on on your comments. You are right. Not a typical Cinderella story - reminds me of the Pretty Woman line where she says after the knight climbs the tower and saves her, she saves him right back. The FL his fears and anxieties as he knew she would -running back to him when the lights are out. He also acknowledges and accepts her situation... caring for her more than flowers. Mutual creation of their own reality and relationship. Truly , so far the drama is unpretentious in the way it conveys these messages but still keeping things light. You are correct -there is so much in this world that creates anxiety in our lives. we need stuff to.. "brighten up rainy days" ..... thank you for the reminder :)
I've thought that i'm the only one that notice it .... but i'm so happy that there's someone else
:) you are correct - good writing -it was done in a witty manner - like when they "parted for the last time" and she gave out awards... this now or that when we are unified... so we laugh....but it has such a deep meaning...!
