Took me a month to finish it coz it was so boring. I'm not a fan of alcoholic people so that could have been another reason. When I first started watching I thought the drama would give me comfort and make me want to escape to the countryside but nah.
Japanese dramas n movies subs are never easily available. I've had to drop many good dramas coz of this... even their own platforms don't care for us, it's like they don't realize the potential of global audience.
The actress isn't good enough. The drama starts off with 2 of her scenes where she opened her mouth with an expression as if she had forgotten her dialog. I'll try out a couple of episodes before deciding what to do lol
I know there are viewers who like to watch toxic relationships, infidelity, illogical stuff in the name of drama but I'm super happy seeing this lovely BL showing a nice progress between the 2 leads who are taking their time instead of rushing like a freight train lol
The drama should have focused only on food, then I would rated it higher. They chose to bring the ML's ex who became his sister-in-law, having her stay with them for whatever reason, she telling the FL to take care of the ML for her, him not telling the FL that she could lose her establishment, left a bad taste.
I understand the need to show that women were 2nd class citizens in those days and women themselves encouraged this behavior. Example being, the FL stopping the ML from helping her in the kitchen or how in the 9th epi the 3 men were making decisions for her while she sat there like a mute.
All the old men looking down on the FL for being a chef like them but these same fogies won't step inside the kitchen of their home coz it's beneath them. It was the younger guys who were the feminists of this drama and I loved them for it.
The FL was old fashioned, not willing to think outside of the box but got a husband who wasn't scared of his wife's talents and helped and encouraged her every step of the way. Can't imagine her life if she had landed someone like the ML's brother!
Even yaya can't make me watch this monstrosity. Men hitting women, women hitting women, women shrieking non-stop. I value my sanity and had to drop it.
thats cuz the FL herself is annoying, she makes up for all the "annoying female characters" usually in dramas.…
I haven't watched this drama and yet I understand what you mean. I've come across many such c-dramas where it's mostly the female dubbing artist who breathes so loudly as if they don't trust the actress to convey the emotions or thinks we are stupid to not understand what's happening right in front of us lol
fr.. idk how many times i have skipped c-drama because those annoying voice
If the drama is good then I lower the volume when such women open their mouth, it's not normal for grownups to talk like that. But yes thr have been times when even I dropped.
2nd episode and the FL is annoying the heck out of me. She is a wannabe saint, her fellow doctor keeps insulting her but the FL is always good to her. At this rate I won't be surprised if she is ready to die for her. Maybe the FL is in love with the mean girl.
As usual, the ML doesn't set boundaries with girls throwing themselves on him. And the FL uses her ex to make him jealous without telling him to man up and decide whether he wants her or wants to enjoy attention from other women. It's a lousy excuse that he needs 1 girl to find out something and that the other girl is the daughter of his senior.
Lakorns don't understand the word subtle, it's funny when characters talk aloud, peek at someone while making it obvious. I would have dropped but weir, louis, mik stop me lol
