I reached at ep27 and nothing has changed, she shouts at Lu for being with another woman even though he has already broken up with his gf AND shouts at her bf thinking he is having an affair just coz he is spending time with the girl lol

FL Ling keeps running after Zheng who keeps telling her he is not interested but the girl doesn't know the meaning of no.
Ep13 - She creates a dirty scene in public and insults an innocent woman and the ML blames Zheng and begs him to accept FL's feelings. And then Yang Zi starts screaming like a banshee lol

Thx! I used to actually get angry and ruin my mood, then realized why not laugh at the idiotic leads and the bad writing. I'm sure the makers never intended these to be a comedy but they are hahaha

FL constantly makes a face as if she has smelt her fart. She thinks the ML cheated on her, but a year later she has still not moved on, even when she thinks he is living with his gf, the FL kisses him. It's a great comedy lol

Happens with me a lot, either the actress isn't good or the FL's character is written badly and I end up ignoring the FL or just dropping the drama :/

Ah so you have suffered as well. Add to it screaming women, or everyone blaming women whereas it's mostly men who cheat on their partners but it's presented as if men are innocent beings who get trapped by vicious women.
The last one I dropped was about a ML who easily forgives his dad who had cheated on the ML's mom, in fact he goes on to say how great his dad was and I was like, this ML will easily cheat on his gf/wife considering who his mentor is LOL

I'll suggest you to stay away from Thai lakorns. My friend made me watch some of them and I was shocked how they sell infidelity, rape, abuse, cheating in the name of romance and fans claim how romantic it is. I would get so mad watching women being abused and the abuser get a happy ending with no remorse, no character development.

If you hadn't made your original comment, I would have really gone in blind into the drama. Not many seem to be bothered by toxic, controlling ML :/

Maybe I should try a few episodes and if it gets too heavy or toxic, or it feels like the writer wants to give a message that women should tolerate abuse from men if he gives some love in return then I'll drop it.

Yup, we need to remember what era the drama is based on. I hate seeing men having multiple partners but we know historical dramas will always have harems coz it did happen in those times...

Yea, there are all kinds of people. I've seen fans of dramas where the ML rapes the FL, victim doesn't have any trauma and after a few episodes happily gets along with the criminal. I've been fooled into watching bad dramas full of such toxic waste coz the comments made me believe it was some romantic drama.

So here it seems the makers realized a faithful production might not be appreciated no matter how popular the actors are? I'm not interested in watching toxic relationships in the name of entertainment, really wanted to try out the drama coz of Bai Lu :(

I'm going through comments before I decide whether to watch or not, you are the only person who has mentioned these points otherwise all the comments made me think this was a normal, healthy romantic drama. What's going on?!! Also, MDL should put the rape tag to warn potential viewers.

Don't even remind me of censorship. China loves to show its power over art. They even dictate how many episodes a drama can have and some ppl try to justify it with their idiotic excuses.

I checked her MDL page, haven't yet watched any of her dramas. I started watching c-dramas during lockdown so you can imagine how much I still have to cover. Sadly most c-drama actresses I come across are voiced by a childlike dubbing artist which ruins everything.
But you can try Victoria in the drama 'Luoyang', that was the 1st time I saw her and loved it.
