Same here, I love watching romantic dramas/movies but I was so glad they stayed focused on the plot. China should promote such movies globally.

Had to drop at ep9. There were many stupid things happening in previous episodes but I thought it'll get better.
Ep 9 - best friend runs at the FL who is pretending to be this rich dead girl and starts shaking the FL calling out her real name. FL suddenly turns mute and starts looking in another direction so that the ML can step in and help her.
Seems like a youngster wrote the story.

On the 4th episode and going by all the comments I thought this'll be great but so far it's just pathetic. The ML manhandles, strangles and threatens the stupid FL. She suddenly gets strong in 1 scene, and declares she'll protect him 😂😂😂
I don't think they intended to make this funny but it was.

No, it really put me off so I didn't even attempt.
One big reason why I stopped watching lakorns was coz it was full of disgusting MLs who would getting a happy ending, most of the times without any character development.

Had to drop coz of Ireine. Too much overacting and it has been the same case in her previous drama that I watched as well, so it can't be blamed on the character or director.

Had to drop it coz of the horrible subs, I really wanted to watch coz of Yuan Hao and the story.

Take up any lakorn, 9 out of 10 times you'll find disgusting toxic people. I've stopped wasting my time on them so erased them from my memory.

I'm watching it only for Marcus. They are just dragging it as if the writer had no clue what more to add to the story.

Yet another childish drama where the ML has some trauma, and the FL is a magical nurse so he makes her his assistant. Acting wasn't that great either. Meant for young girls who might like to watch the same old story with different actors.

The actress has done a good job. She isn't childish or stupid. She looked realistic in her male getup except for a couple of times. The actor is fine as well.
I'm on episode 9 and it was going great BUT while taking a walk with the ML, the FL spots her sister and without saying anything to him she simply follows her sister, and now the ML is looking all over for her. What stupidity.
Hopefully the story will bounce back.

Exactly!! China can easily rule the BL industry if these stone age rules are removed.
Recent thai BLs have disappointed me.
I don't think Immortality will ever release and if it does, I don't know how much it has been changed. Maybe chinese writers can sell their stories to other countries on the condition that they maintain the quality but then we'll miss the chinese actors :(

This is why I love Chinese BLs. They are capable of bringing amazing stories with good actors. It's the censorship that ruins things. Hopefully others will learn and value the freedom they have and give us good content.

Lakorns ruin my mood so easily. I've seen those disgusting ones where r*pe is normal, the victim ends up with the monster or ones where infidelity is normal or ones where slaves and women have the same status.
Most of the times the ML is so disgusting but has no character development and still gets his happy ending.

And yes I have seen those lakorns where friends n family hep the ML who is actually a villain and I wonder if these ppl really want the good of the FL -_-

I've made a firm resolution not to watch lakorns any more. There's are far better and sensible dramas available.

C-dramas are so beautifully made, their sets and cgi are wonderful but then they mess it up with badly written FLs who at times don't know how to act or are dubbed by a 5 year old girl.

There should be a warning on MDL about dramas that have a stupid FL or dramas made for kids so that I don't waste my time on even 1 episode.

The Outsider was like a breath of fresh air where the FL was practical and strong before and after falling in love. But most viewers don't like such women so we keep getting girls who get silly once in love so that the man can step in and save her.
