I disagree with the notion that the male lead is sluggish. It seems people are stuck on a stereotype for male…
I prefer this kind of gentle/complex ML rather than the typical cold domineering CEO.

What I enjoyed most about this drama was their chemistry. I don't really like Jie Jie Di Di dramas, but I stuck…
I get youuu. I can’t count how many times I’ve replayed the OST video and drama trailer just to catch a glimpse of them as a couple lol.

I love how both leads are so complex yet so understandable.

Cen Jin - Idc what anyone says, I stand by this woman. Younger me would’ve hated her, but as an adult, I totally understand her rights and wrongs. She’s an only child who grew up with all the love and support she could ever need. She fell in love and got married to her college sweetheart, gave it her all, but ended up being betrayed out of nowhere after a heartbreaking miscarriage. At her lowest, in goes Li Wu who reaches out to her for help with his studies. Everything goes well, but then this boy seemingly decides to settle for the bare minimum when he could fly high with his dreams and abilities. And then she realizes that he’s doing this because he doesn’t want to drift away from her. That’s a huuuuge burden to carry! Plus, add the trauma from her scummy husband who divorced her after such a great relationship filled with promises and whatever—and to think they were probably at Li Wu’s age when all of their promises were made. The husband even blamed her and expressed regrets, so how could she not doubt Liwu’s feelings in the future. Of course, she’ll prefer to see him fly high instead of settling and regretting in the future. Besides, she’s not like us—she doesn’t know Li Wu’s a fictional male lead with unchanging love and devotion even after years of separation.

Li Wu - This sweet sweet boy. I totally understand why she’d fall hard for Cen Jin—I would too!!! Also, she’s the person he holds dearest so of course, he wouldn’t want to leave her side+ he doesn’t even have assurance that she won’t fly away. Add the inferiority he feels with both their age and status. He’s not just chasing her to have her heart, he’s also trying to reach her so he can stay beside her without slowing her down.

I love them mannn. I love this show. I have so much more to say but Im dying to read the novel already.

Finally able to catch up and oh boyyyy, I didnt expect liking it this much. This drama came out of nowhere for me, and now im obsessed!

Of all the jiejie-didi cdramas I watched, this is the one with the largest gap but yet somehow, I don’t feel the gap that much lol. The chemistry is even there lol. Definitely worth buying the express package. Now im torn if i should read the novel or not.

I'm in episode 1 and I can't help being in awe at how gorgeous FL is. She looks a lot like Go Youn Jung, and for some reason, I also see a little bit of female Ren Jia Lun in her.

Misunderstandings and poisoning. My pet peeves in a drama packed in one, and yet somehow I find myself continuing to the next episode. I hope this misunderstanding doesn't last long.

Anyway, I loooove seeing He Nan again right after LITC. And she's a baddie with a strong tattooing skills too lol

Laughed so hard when Chu Linyang tore off his mustache. It was like when the tattletale strangler revealed himself to spongebob 😂😂😂😂😂

I love my girl MZY but I really hope it's not her. Her character Shen Xihe in Blossoms of Power is literally Shen Miao but in a different font.

I don’t care who stars in it, as long as they fit the dang roles and don’t make it male centric. This is shen miao were talking about.

Ep 12

Wth was Chu Yu thinking sending that bombshell letter to Yao Jue who was in the Yao family home, which is clearly headed by Yao Yong himself 🤡 She didn’t even use codes or something. Girl, aren’t u supposed to be a clever warrior raised in the borders by general father and general brother. Chu sisters r really something man.

I really can’t stand Chu Jin. Always playing the victim. Also, I hate how everyone downplayed what she did. She literally stood there waiting for Chu Yu to be caught in a very humiliating scene. At least in the novel she only tricked Chu Yu into talking about her elopement and stuff. The drama version is worse, imo.

The worst part in this is they are giving her more screentime with a love line with Song Wenchang, which is totally unecessary. Should’ve just stuck with Song Shilan and Jiang Chun as second couple.

Chu Linyang drama version is way too soft in disciplining Chu Jin. In the novel, one cold look from him and Chu Jin’s ass would tremble like a lil scaredy chihuahua thanks for that lovely childhood trauma he gave her.

Oy, the episode 4 massacre broke my heart. And then all the widows and orphans kneeling at the palace gates broke…
I think the blood spitting is more on the emotional side, like pent up frustration or despair. Yeah, cdrama logic vs science 😂
