I loved that we at least got to see sima jiao in the modern world. Love game in Easterm Fantasy's ending was worst.…
His expression at the end tells me he does remember her, to what extent im not sure, but he remembers her and has been waiting for her. That meeting wasn’t a chance encounter, and maybe he even pulled some strings to make it happen. And the way he asks her in the end, his tone was very Sima Jiao whenever he teasingly asks her for something. It was like he was baiting her. Cant find the right word to describe it lol but it was definitely a full circle moment.
Cried my eyes out at Jiao Jiao’s smile at the end. How long had he been waiting for that reunion. Looove how everything came full circle, and that lil quote at the end was a cherry on top.
This is now one of my fav dramas ever. What a ride!!! Excuse me while i continue to gush over everything.
We'll probably only get the modern setting in the final episode, like some usual epilogue that will only last…
Drama team filmed a modern day scene that kinda mirrored how SJ and LTY first met, not sure if they will air it though (I learned the hard way from LGIEF lol). Came across it on twitter around last week. It came with other now-aired scenes.
I dropped this halfway ep 3 and picked it up again on a whim today. I didn't even realize I was already on the final (not the final but you get what i mean) episode.
I love the novel, but I really like some of the changes they made to the drama. I guess it also helped that the novel was a bit short, giving the scriptwriters more space to navigate and explore. And can I just say, they really nailed the drama version of Ji Ran. In the novel, man really was 50% soldier 50% lovesick puppy who stares at her longingly all day.
I've become a fan of wang ying lu through this drama and now another drama of hers is coming on 29th!! with zhou…
me too! although I really liked her as Bao Bao in I Am Nobody, her perf here as LTY is what got me to follow her socials. can't wait for twelve letters and that one with li yun rui
i wonder how the modern arc would look. is it gonna be actually in a contemporary modern setting?
We'll probably only get the modern setting in the final episode, like some usual epilogue that will only last for a couple of seconds lol. I hope I'm wrong though. I want to see them longer in the modern world too!
There exist very compelling reasons for those "crazy" restrictions. But I can see why someone's who's…
I thought I was a snowflake, but you are worse than me 😂 Look, I’m well aware, and I’m literally just lamenting over the creative restrictions that writers face.
It’s so sad that you took my comment way too seriously. Getting so offended over the casual usage of the word ‘crazy’ and being so passive-aggressive about it… Come on, girl. Lighten up. This is literally an MDL discussion board, and look at my profile picture lmao. If you take everything as an attack and disrespect, it’s only going to give you a hard time.
SJ and LTY Mentioning reincarnation and directly denying it lmao the writers are really putting up defenses. But tbh, this is so sad. Imagine the potential of cdramas without these crazy restrictions.
At first I was hesitant to start this drama because I can't unsee Bao Bao from Wang Ying Lu. Literally, every time I see her, my mind just goes back to all her 'robotic' antics as Bao Bao. But after starting the drama and getting so into it, I totally forgot Bao Bao and got too immersed with the cuteness and wit of Liao Tingyuan. After watching episode 20, that's only when I remembered that 'oh right, this is Bao Bao' lmaooo. This girl is so talented man
I patiently waited for this drama since reading the novel last year, but 3 episodes in and I really can’t get into it. I mean I like the changes they made, but I’m really not feeling the FL at all. I thought I’d stick it out for Cheng Lei, but I just ended up being bothered by their non-existent chemistry. It feels like a chore watching them. But that’s just me. Maybe i’ll try again next week lol.
I lost it when TPOB’s Wei Xiao / Coroner’s Diary’s Yan Che showed up. Bro looked so dang fiiiine 🔥🔥🔥 honestly, he looked the best among the characters 🥹 that styling suited him real good
