As far as I remember, Cheng Xiao character is not in the novel. I was even confused at first if her character is supposed to be crown princess in ML’s turf or FL’s. But looking back, in the novel, there’s a brief mention/implication that FL chose to be assigned in the borderlands bcs she didnt want to be crown prince’s (Bu Wen Jun character) concubine. So high chance that you’re right about cheng xiao.

TMI, if i remember it correctly, FL and crown prince were like childhood sweethearts. FL knew she’d be bound by concubine life because of their different status and she’s only an adopted daughter of the general. Crown prince gets married for political gain and FL stays in the borders, doesn’t come home because she knows crown prince won’t make her leave the capital again once she returns. Yeah, he hasnt moved on lol.

I think its because it’s more on superhuman ability x cdrama war/battle stuff

Kidding aside, when the wrap up trailer dropped, most comments said it felt like an Avengers cdrama trailer. And it actually did feel like one.

I saw Hidden Shadow is now the first drama in the ‘coming soon’ lineup of Youkou, and LITC is now second. My delusional self wants to think that this is a good sign 😭
