Conversely, a conflict with massive stakes can fall flat if its resolution lacks clarity or coherence—without a meaningful end, the story loses its impact.

I doubt it. I've seen comments on Douban, I was amazed how detail some fans are about Xu Kai and how much they care about him. I've learned so much great things about Xu Kai researching, I've never seen such devotion to an actor. It just goes to show Xu Kai's sincerity is not fake to have such devotion from people that are tuned to what really is going on.
