I don’t know how people who write analyses and reviews manage to draw so many details about the characters. I think they glean them from the actors’ performances.

There has been an outpouring of praise for Xu Kai’s performance. He’s touched so many hearts to the point of heartbreak. They praise the entire cast as professional level of acting. There are some genuinely serious reviews out there.
