Overall, I like Douban better because you can see what users are rating and their comments on why they rated the way they did. You can even see the fake ratings coming through. When you read enough comments, you get a feel for what is real and what is fake, and what is genuine or not. MDL is so inconsistent that it feels like they are biased toward certain actors. It should be a set algorithm, but it’s inconsistent across dramas.

as long as you added it to your watch list, you can rate it. you don't have to rate each episode. it's the score you gave the drama. anyone can just give it a score whether they watched it or not.

For me, Chen Hui is the emotional core of the story. I'm deeply sad for other characters, but I only cry for Chen Hui. This is a story of a father investigating his own son, so Chen Hui is the pivot point of the whole story and the person whose actions force the moral and emotional crisis. Every choice he makes tightens the noose around the entire family. Chen Hui is the one who bleeds on screen — flawed, human, and tragic. Chen Hui isn’t just in the crisis — he is the crisis.

In other dramas they darken the skin too, and I don’t recall anyone saying it could be harmful—because if it were, their marketing will definitely mention it. But for this drama, they specifically pointed out that the process was different and harsh due to the high alcohol content. Hopefully any effects are only temporary.
