"In terms of game restoration alone, Qi and Jinchao has almost achieved the ultimate and met the expectations of game fans. From the perspective of TV dramas, the picture quality of the casting costumes and props is very good, the growth of everyone in the six-member group is traceable, and there is no hard industrial saccharin, the emotional drama is very natural, it is a process of growth and transformation. The mysteries in the early stage were solved one by one in the later stage, and all the foreshadowing was filled in, the most exciting thing was that Bian Luohuan was [spoiler] and could not [spoiler], and with the help of the fog soul [spoiler], the whole closed loop is very exciting. The most noteworthy thing is the heroine's crying scene in episode 35, with the oath Chenghui burst into tears instantly, the only episode in the whole drama to cry. Overall, although there are shortcomings (as does every drama), it is definitely worth a look, worthy of the name of fairy sword!
"This is currently the most restored game plot, and it may also be the last."
"I don't know why there are so many 1-star bad reviews, just because of the heroine's dubbing, I don't understand. Watching the whole episode is really a top-notch plot."
"In fact, among game fans and drama fans, it is basically rave reviews."
"Fairy Sword Six: I think the story itself is well written, and the plot of the TV series is also very good after the adaptation. If you watch it in the TV drama environment of the year, this drama is at least at the level of Lao Xianjian (CP1), or even above."
What do you mean nobody is watching this? It is ranked #1 Top Chinese drama for two straight weeks and #2 last week. The gaming community who understand this story and its characters the most are praising the drama and even forgiving of what they felt is lacking in some areas yet praising it in other areas and these are intelligent and critical people. What was most important to them was that the "soul" of the fairy and sword has been restored.
Exactly every 4 wks the ratings in the core group 8-24 goes down 0.1: 8.8->8.7->8.6->8.5->8.4->8.3 (today) the other core groups 25-34: 8.7->8.6->8.5->8.4->8.3->8.2; 35-44: 8.2->8->7.9->7. 8->7.7 these core groups make up 87% of the watchers, never one day did it ever go up, always down... as if to eventually match 7.8? SAF6 trending, unlike another drama the trend is up/down random, feels more organic and SAF6 just seems like it is fixed downward pattern
There's a certain expression with the slight of the mouth that Xu Kai makes that is also done by his animated game character in SAF6;, but also, I saw Hu Ge doing it in CP1, and it's the same sort of devilish charming smile that Harrison Ford does/
When AvenueX, a harsh Chinese drama critic who has never said a good word about Xu Kai in any of his dramas over the years, and who will only mention Xu Kai if she can even find one remote bad thing to bring up, refused to review WOL, a top drama while it was airing, despite many asking her for a review, you know this drama is rock solid.
You sound like the online echo chamber for the narrative out there that someone started about the female lead. I noticed this pattern with WOL and then again with SAF6. I'd hate to see what narrative will be created for the fl in the upcoming ABAY.
I had to drop; I didn’t like how the FL used the fact that he was in love with her every time as her strategy.…
You forgot to mention all the times she cares for him and loves him. There were many scenes in the drama, she displayed respect, admiration, and love to him. Please don't just look at a scene here and there and take their relationship out of context of the entire drama. This drama is unlike other dramas, a rare treat to see such authentic displays of raw human feelings and emotions in a relationship filled with deep conflicts. In real life, these two people would never be able to come together if not for Li Ni not giving up and Cui Lin always having his back when he almost gave up.
How great it is despite misunderstandings, there is also forgiveness and reconciliation, instead of harboring resentment toward each other. When Li Ni realizes he wronged Cui Lin, he apologized even though it was understandable why he would have misunderstood her, and he cared so much about her mental state, it was beautiful to see such humanity the way he helped her come out of her depression. Another time, when Li Ni vented his anger again toward Cui Lin, you could tell, he still cares deeply about her, but he needed to work out his anger. She was sad but totally understanding and stayed away to let him work it out. When Cui Lin is struggling with her father's mental decline, Li Ni did everything in his power to help her father, instead of blaming her for her behavior because like he said, he has deep feelings for her and will love her for a very long time no matter what happens between them, and she once revealed her true heart to him, he knows her heart that she truly loves only him. No matter what happens between them, there is a bond between them that always bring them back together. It's called true love. It's a miracle how they able to survive everything that happened and be together forever.
The rating trends for SAF6 exhibits unusual patterns every day since it aired. The ratings have gradually decreased, and this decline appears to coincide with the schedule freezes every 3 to 4 days, most likely had a negative impact on ratings. It is strange that SAF6 is the only drama that has such a big difference between the MDL rating 7.8 and the age group data 8.2. It does not make sense to me that currently watched is 8.44 but the completed is only 8.16, when the drama saves the best for the last.
How did Jinzhao die in the final battle? The last blow in the drama was delivered by Yue Qi, so it can be understood that Yue Jinchao lacked vitality and could not resist the counterattack with all his strength, and the serious injury accelerated the consumption of life force, so the last resonance could not be successful.
Su He is the ontology of Longtan, which only has the function of memory and exchange, but does not have the function of prophecy. plus when Ying Xu Wei came to exchange at the end. Su He also said that his lifespan is not long, so the people he exchanged for cannot live long, in the same way, Bian Luohuan was seriously injured at the time, there is no reason why he can exchange for a healthy, long-lived and resonant "Yue Jinchao"
Final battle game vs drama The difference between the game battle and the presentation of the drama is quite big., The direct decisive battle dissipates today. The fatal blow in the play was given a slow release, and then the resonance was broken. The dialogue of the protagonist group, the game is better, but Shuangyue finally went to Jing'an again and it felt better in the drama. Jing An carries more memories in the drama.
I'm feeling emotional starting in ep 19 and I know this is not even the most emotional moments as this drama has…
The biggest emotional impacts are in the latter episodes because the way the story is unfolding, it does not want to give away the mystery up front. The first 18? or so episodes build up the viewers emotions so you will feel it more in the latter part of the drama.
Good quality actors casted for this drama. Quality CGIs used. Story is average, lacking in emotions to capture…
There are lots of emotions in this drama. I find with every drama, the deeper my understanding of the story and all the characters' development, the greater my engagement with the drama, the greater will the emotional experience be for me, especially when it comes to unpacking subtle and nuanced expressions which are deeper and more natural and makes me as a viewer more engaged with the character's emotional state. SAF6 is considered the richest story of the Chinese Paladin series. The gaming community have praised the screenwriter, production team, and actors for restoring so much of the game and consider this the best adaptation which they feel has captured the soul of Sword and Fairy. The characters are the heart and soul of this drama, and their emotional stories resonate with me. The Ending follows the gameplay and gives the same outcome, but the drama puts a different spin on it to leave some imagination to the audience which I thought was more interesting because it was both open and clear as a bell. Had it followed the game ending 100%, it would have been too abrupt, confusing, and bland. The adaptation respected the original work so much and tried its best to balance restoring the game and also make it into a real-life drama and enhance the romance for drama watchers, which succeeded largely due to the casting, chemistry, and acting. This is such a unique story (this is my first encounter with a space/time mobius plot) and the adorable relationship and chemistry of Jinzhao and Qi, and split personalities of Jinzhao and Bian, and much more is quite memorable. There is much to appreciate and emotions is one of them.
I saw an interview and he was asked that question and I remember he said it was because jinzhao was afraid qi…
at first, the scene came on, my head went "why is he wearing clothing?" but whatever, and then the rest of the scene is so amazing, who cares if he has a shirt on or not. The important thing is the acting. What if he had his shirt off and the scene didn't come off right? What is important is that the scene filled with emotions, even with shirt on, that says a lot about the acting and chemistry.
When people get older, they will realize having some fat will make them look younger and is healthier. In olden days, women have fat is a sign of beauty and prosperity. Just look at the statues in Europe, a full figure is more beautiful than a stick figure in my opinion.
Am I the only that cried watching Qi eat the noodles and reminiscing. Yu Shuxin really outdid herself in that…
I've read many comments praising Esther for her egg noddle scene. It is one of the best scenes in the entire drama, truly masterful acting job. She always puts her heart and soul into everything she does.
Ep 22 Qi and Jinzhao stand in awe at the Ruins of Memory is a captivating and refined scene filled with heightened emotions with Bian giving the best emotional expression with the bittersweet look of astonishment and validation he been yearning for in contrast to Jinzhao's devastation and confusion, and Qi is in shock.
Ep22 is the climax of the drama. It is when Jinzhao overcomes his fears and finds courage to move forward. He says, "no matter the past, the future is always in my hands", what Gu Hanjiang has been trying to teach him. Then Qi shows up with an umbrella, looks into his eyes, holds his face, they hug, and she says, "I'll be with you", (This must be the complaint I heard that the so-called classic line in the script was supposed to be "I choose Jinzhao", but honestly, the scene is fine without it). When they were both at the Ruins of Memory, they were both confused and neither really understood Bian versus Jinzhao, but in this moment, the scene clearly shows that Qi is saying, Jinzhao I choose you, I will be with you, and Jinzhao who from episode 1, he has always been jealous of her dreams of her master or anyone who takes an interest in her and is always afraid to lose her, he says, "I will always protect you.".
This director is fortunate to have such a talented cast of actors who acted so well.
