what do you mean how far? they will eventually end up together. they obviously have sex together, but the scenes are not explicit.
their love is very deep and they care for each other, accept each other as they are and help each other in the worst of times.
it is a realistic romance. they are apart when they have to be due to their duties and they are together when they are allowed to be.

I know I know and I trust that he would hopefully know better than to do something similarly stupid, but my concern comes more from the simple fact of how strained Japanese-Chinese political and economical relations currently are and how strict the Chinese entertainment seems to be these days.
It might be that some antis just see that as an excuse to attack him, question him and perhaps might even make Tencent consider to postpone the drama until the waters are calmer.
Surely he is known for a lot of his previous work, be it music, modelling or even his acting what he has been praised for but it seems that those scandals always emerge once the actor is REALLY popular as if people just couldn´t stand someone else being the star.
I just hope for the best and I hope it won´t hinder his career as it should not! because the man has done nothing wrong! even if he liked Japan as a country and the Japanese country, there is NOTHING he should apologize for unless it is insensitive and disrespectful to one´s history.

I agree but have you seen what the Chinese entertainment industry is like? Definitely doesn´t overlook anything and if he likes manga and Japanese culture, they can also use it against him. I am just paranoid at this point.

I think that it is understandable that people feel the need to express their opinion, some might be more educated on the subject than the other. Just imagine if you were a fan of his and have just learnt such news. I am sure we all have actors/actresses that we a little bit idolise due to their brilliant work. You´d want to express your feelings and add your five cents too, no? Plus, I think some people have really stated some valid points.

most probably to the costumes because I love costumes and they make up at least half of the drama. I am shallow, I like looking at pretty things, be it men or dresses :D. I also really can´t wait to see those flying eagles? look at Gu Yun and his wings!!! aaaa like a dark angel!!!
also the ships ... I expect them to be epic and nothing less!! and the steampunk! and I also hope we´ll get to see some quick cut of the railway construction (is that a weird thing?).
I also love flashbacks! so I am looking forward how they are going to grasp that story of little Gu Yun and little Chang Geng. Considering how much I love Song JiYang, I can´t wait to see him as Chunhua! ♥

I agree with you on Li Feng! he is a complicated, COMPLICATED character and to capture all that, is definitely a huuuge task and I fear they are gonna limit him to "a bad guy" who he really wasn´t. he was just a person trapped in his own, sad situation and he wasn´t a saint but neither did he truly deserved his end.
if they ruin Gu Yun, this page will reach 5,000 comments in a day by me crying over every single detail :D but I trust in Tan Jianci and hopefully good writers.
I also fear that war scenes are gonna be too long (because in some shows they just use them as fillers) and court drama is not gonna be well conducted. it annoys me when they spend 10 episodes planning to kill someone.
I also hope they will present us with some Barbarians and represent them fairly like strong people that were cruel and all that, BUT at the same time ... it wasn´t like they weren´t bullied, attacked and repressed? because the book at least tried to sometimes paint them in a better picture (the last part with when they wanted to kill their chief?)
I fear they will make Miss Chen fall in love with Gu Yun to make all those (it´s a bl drama!) go away and I FEAR THAT because I LOVE Shen Yi and Shen Yi deserves the world and Miss Chen deserves the world and Gu Yun and Chang Geng deserve their own world ♥.

yes, yes, yes. I agree with you on morally grey characters. I ADORE the development that they usually go through. no one is black or white, we all make bad decisions, we can all get to be mean, possessive, crazy when at our worst (maybe if you become a Buddhist monk??? and don´t stick your nose into politics, you might be saved) :D. I guess they had to mellow his character down in the LA just to pass the censorship. but whatever helped that the Untamed aired. :D

don´t feel bad about reading quickly. I am a slow reading because I am usually do other things and read like one or two chapters a day and that´s it. I hate myself that I read so slowly because I cannot rea d like 20 books in a year (like 12 most likely for me? ) but at the same time, yes, reading slowly makes you more concentrated and perhaps you enjoy it especially when it is a good book that you don´t want to end :D.
