agh you are my hero, most I can do is like two. but I used to watch several shows at once (until I moved to cdramas that have like 50 episodes in total :D and some of them unnecessary ... complicated as has been mentioned :D).

tbh, I have needed a good review of TGCF to know that noo, it won´t get worse but BETTER. yes!
I also 100% agree on SPL and court politics. actually, I think I wasn´t as confused about the war things and didn´t mind the war scenes (I was full head in the drama) but just those annoying idiots constantly, CONSTANTLY scheming just got me.. ugh. I just hate it in books and dramas, I don´t know if I am just too stupid to understand that or I just genuinely hate unnecessary complications :D. just kill them and get over with it :D.
I haven´t heard about LS! thanks for including that! sounds interesting and twisted ...maybe during my dark period, I shall give it a change, just after 2HA :D

agh thank you! first of all, I have to say I absolutely love to read a well written description, review. so I am absolutely THRILLED when a good conversation like THIS is sparkled.

actually, TA not being complicated is a great thing. don´t take me wrong, I do like a good romance but what has been putting me off MOSTLY about reading 2HA despite reading A LOT of positive reviews (and obviously being excited for the drama because of costumes and Luo Yunxi ♥) is that it is so angsty. I like angst when it comes to the past, dealing with oneself and the world, let´s bring it! but when it comes to a relationship? eghhhhh I am not THAT INTO it.
so being it straight forward is just great.
is donghua well-made? would you recommend it?

Wei Wuxian would come into the box of my favourite characters as well and I haven´t even read the whole book. I think the books always offer a deeper inside into a character´s mind while the show (despite having the brilliant, marvellous, awesome, the best of the bests Xiao Zhan) just can´t really do that.

I am reading chapter 21. so early stages, baby steps, baby steps but here I come!

oh absolutely, I´ll wait till your final conclusion and I am sure people can have different opinions and I might give it a try after reading more reviews! I am just curious what you will think of it and whether it is worth the time (which is a commodity I cannot afford to waste on a bad novel :D :D) and I feel like those who love SPL ... I miiiiiiight believe their opinions a biiiit more just for the sake that we obviously share the same / similar taste. (by no means does it mean that I don´t value opinions of others, I hope that didn´t come off as stuck up ahaha). some books definitely need a bit of a kick ! crossed fingers that TA surprises you!

thank you for your wonderful description. I am reading TGCF and I just really enjoy it. the world is not as fascinating to me as SPL´s and I haven´t fallen with anyone as much as with Gu Yun, but it is really well written and easily read. I really hope I´ll finish it because hell IT IS LONG.

agh thank you for a proper description! I know it is not the most popular danmei out there and I have heard the story has a funny element so I was happy to jump on reading it (even before starting HOB) but I was told off a bit. I do enjoy to laugh sometimes too :D

both times would be fascinating and I am also not sure myself. I have read it is based on the Song dynasty. but that doesn´t have to necessarily mean the setting has to be approximately the same and you have certainly offered an interesting point of view.

I am reading TGCF and so far I really like it! the characters are fun and I really like Xie Lian, he is a darling.
Thousand Autumns seems that will go well with me. I think I might give SVSSS a try just because I have heard it is written in a lighter tone and I might like to take a rest after finishing TGCF? is it a good book??? I cannot get a proper "review" out of anyone :D. (fair enough I haven´t googled properly but you know what I mean)

and which novel is your favourite?

I have also felt that MDZS was quite close to the show and also I didn´t find the book that appealing so I stopped reading it at chapter 32. I just felt the show was too good probably? too good to actually push me to read it.
