I think Tencent might be going through some troubles with the state politics. They also sell games (mobile games if I´m not mistaken) and China has introduced new policies to "help their youth" not to get "spoilt" with games etc. That means that Tencent is going to lose a lot of money obviously. Also the fact that they are kind of stepping on their heels when it comes to money. The state-run capitalism they say, but Tencent have been going too big and too bold. I am afraid there might be more to it, but don´t quote me on that.

neither do I, and when you consider that Oath of Love is not even a BL, what was the problem there? I remember that possibly it could be the scandal that unfortunately involved Zhan, but it still got blown off in the beginning of 2021 and since then he has been as strong as ever. It could have aired much sooner.

yeah I mean, whatever they choose to do is gonna be fine. they can always age up the character for us to believe. because while Zhe Yan looks pretty young, he definitely doesn´t look 14 at all. but they can imply that he is older? though maybe we are too harsh on them and they won´t bother with ages and just skip that detail.
also I have realised that I really hope the fighting scenes are not gonna be as bad as in the Untamed :D. those were just funny :D.

I don´t think that he does? he seems not to have it in most videos. make up might be involved but from what I have read in the comments below he was apparently so dedicated to his role that he even kept the moles for some time.

not really that much, only the first chapters but when you think about it, they can easily make it quite short and just use those scenes for half an episode to introduce us to Shen Shiliu and Chang Geng. they´ll probably use it for the opening scene. them interacting together, than a scene with Red Kite and boom them running away to the capital and before that a scene with his aunt. flasforward and he is leaving to travel with the monk . I think I would have been able to shoot that tv show sooner than they are about to air it :D

maybe they´ll age up the young actor rather than ZheYuan?
