there are some things in the drama that don´t make much sense. the whole jade thing is eyerolling, the fact that she fell for him despite him actually hurting her and betraying her, her pretending to be a boy and everyone believing it so easily despite the actress having prominently feminine face and looking nothing like a man..... just take it with a pinch of salt

I have really enjoyed SPL. the work she has put in it is immense! I think it had to be hard to write such a complicated plot that is FICTIONAL yet so realistic! even the steam machines and gadgets just seemed unquestionably real like I was sure they were a part of Ancient China :D.
yes, that is exactly what I have heard about Faraway Wanderers, it´s not bad, but not the best novel to read. However, if you haven´t watched Word of Honor, PLEASE DO SO!!!!! it is soooo good!!!!! I´m sure you´ll love it! it´s also very daring when it comes to bromance-romance, they are openly flirting, another character is even addressing it and you are like AND THIS PASSED CENSORSHIP HOW? :D
it is a bit shorter than the Untamed, the side characters are not as interesting (though the second couple ♥♥♥♥), but it is just amazing! the leads are absolutely flawless! However, the story is different from the book. the book was probably a mere inspiration.

depends what you are looking for. It´s a good time killer for some time. Personally, I have never watched a TV show about firefighters and the first episodes were interesting. Then it kind of becomes blah as only training is shown and not much action (I can imagine it must be very expensive to shoot those scenes so I understand why it would be better to keep it low). The actors are great, lovable, pretty faces to look at. The characters are not bad. It often lacks the realness of the jobs - it seems fairly easy to be a doctor according to Lan, no? :) but hey, if you are looking for some light fun, cheesy romantic story, go for it!

I have watched 8 episodes and dropped it and would pick it up if I was bored again.
but if you don´t want to waste your time, I wouldn´t go for it. there are probably better things to watch.

A League of Nobleman is supposed to premiere on August 9, so probably not August, but keep it up!!! it will come!

nice to hear such beautiful rumours that it will be released soon ! I can´t wait. the cinematography looks beautiful!!!! will help us keep waiting for the other big two! not to bash it, I have been waiting for all three of them with excitement (ALoN, SPL and 2HA)

I have to agree with you. Not everything has to be danmei or BL based just because two male characters are main leads. I really wonder why would anyone put it on a BL list without reading the novel first. I must admit I haven´t but from what I have heard it mostly seems that it´s bromance at best. I personally don´t mind some good danmei so not that I would see A League of Nobleman put on the BL list as disrespectful, but it´s more like people would expect something they would not get and imagine things that are not there. Yes, men do touch hands too and they even hug each other without being in love with one another!

maybe that is why the censorship has taken so long :D :D :D

yeah, I mean to be fair, I could understand his suspicion considering everyone probably feared Gu Yun when you look at what kind of power he had. Li Feng was also absolutely nothing when it came to military. He didn´t have the authority, the knowledge. He had to relay on Gu Yun who was at that point scarily brilliant. I´d fear him too. Still throwing him into the prison seemed like the stupidest decision ever. I was honestly like "wtf are you doing?" :D but everyone makes mistakes, I guess and in the end, unfortunately, he was right. Everyone betrayed him and I honestly felt so sorry for him.

yeah, now I kinda feel like i need to reread the beginning of the book to understand his relationship towards his aunt even better. he was indifferent towards her and I felt like the abuse had to stop at some point because didn´t it say that he didn´t spend a lot of time at home? like he was mostly wandering around etc.? also I really wish his stepfather (or more like stepuncle) could have been more present in his life. at least someone could have done some solid parenting.
