we have to do something about it!!!!!! like discussing why it is such a good novel ! :D
ahahaha I´m dedicated :D. as for headcanons. do you think gu yun and chang geng took care of the crown prince after his father´s death? because I can totally imagine Gu Yun taking up the role of a father. also I didn´t get how many siblings does Chang Geng actually have? there were some talks about a 7-year-old princess and a baby prince who is like 3 or so?

I think SPL is less popular in the danmei circle because it is only a light BL and is more plot-oriented. it is only not wuxia so that might be it? the book is popular indeed, but not to the measures of 2ha and TGCF. also the actors are less known? unlike Leo Yunxi who is a huuuge attraction for 2ha as well.
I know that there is this scene where his aunt Niang smashes his foot saying "you are not my son, you are not…
it´s a shame we didn´t really get a glimpse into what his real mother was like. that would be so interesting! do you happen to remember how did she become a concubine? voluntarily or was she sold?
A League of Nobleman is not a BL drama, but to be fair it has been on the waiting list for so long, the production…
have you read the book? :) people who have read it say it is not BL at all. I am currently reading the first chapter so I cannot judge, but everyone who has actually read it says it´s not danmei at all. it´s a mystery novel. so let´s see. the writer originally disapproved of the adaptation but after seeing the trailer had apologised? source is the comments, so don´t take it as the best of references though :D.

right? just terrifying. I think she had to become insane even before actually killing her own child. it just crept me out and that scene where she kept repeating "you are no my child, you are not my child" to herself. that just got me. I didn´t know if to cry or be scared or how to feel. she had tried to distance herself from him so much, but the thought that he might be the other child ... her own child. unbelievable. I wonder whether this is based on history? like did people really believe it? or is it completely made up?
Is anyone worried that the rumour of League of Nobleman airing on August 9th is actually that rumoured 'BL drama…
A League of Nobleman is not a BL drama, but to be fair it has been on the waiting list for so long, the production ready, the trailer out. if anything, it would definitely deserve to air.
I know that there is this scene where his aunt Niang smashes his foot saying "you are not my son, you are not…
aghhh that´s how it was! thank you for explaining that! I was wondering why his feet always got to be back to normal and now it makes sense. I don´t think they have mentioned the dad of his cousin. but considering what she had to go through, I would not be surprised if her son was a result of rape. there is no redemption in a sense of her abusing an innocent child, but to be fair, she was quite not sane. it makes me shiver, the whole history of chang geng´s family. it doesn´t happen often but it made me physically sick to so vividly imagine the story behind the bone of impurity. and I´m like "why is no one creeped out about it :D"
i don't know if you've completed the novel but i remember there were some extras about this family of 3 (Gu yun…
I had written it before finishing the novel and after reading the extra chapter I was just so aaaaaghhhh, wholesome. I wish Gu Yun´s parents stayed alive to see what a man he grew up to be. Even his father would be proud, I´m sure.
I know that there is this scene where his aunt Niang smashes his foot saying "you are not my son, you are not my son" because she realises she might have switched the babies and those deformed toes would be a sign he is the emperor´s son, but there is also a scene where Gu Yun notices how remarkably alike Chang Geng looked like the Barbarian Concubine when they found that statue covered with human skin? so what did you make out of all of it?
aghh thank you so much for all your work and your info!!!! it makes me weirdly happy how much effort they have…
agh! your logic makes sense to me and I´m also a bit more optimistic that WIK might air sooner because after all, when money is involved ... it would be generally wiser to keep Immortality for the next year to start with a bang. It is hugely popular and anticipated and I definitely want to watch it too, but for now SPL is where my heart is :D. Also wasn´t Immortality much more expensive? I´d love to see A League of Nobleman and to be fair, it would deserve to finally air! the trailer looks amazing!!! I need to read those 19 translated chapters :D
I've been wandering around the drama's supertopics on Weibo and lurking in Bilibili and Douban, and have seen…
aghh thank you so much for all your work and your info!!!! it makes me weirdly happy how much effort they have put into keeping it a secret? (not that successfully though because there are bits and pieces everywhere, but they have done their best!) it means that they are taking their jobs seriously, are dedicated and it is gonna be HUGE! I really cannot wait till it airs. it will be such a gift
so what did you make out of all of it?
