anyone else is fascinated by the story of the Old Marquis and the Princess? we do learn some things about the Marquis (mainly that he was a jerk to his son, maybe showing his love once when he did everything to save him ... just to make his life a living hell... charming) and so very little about the Princess. What was she like? What was their relationship like? Did they love each other? Was she kinder to him? She died young if I remember correctly. I do have that little thing about side characters.
I really hope this will air once the celebrations are properly over. I don´t see why it hasn´t yet. the trailer…

@jamin not official translation, but it does have footnotes and explanations to stuff like idioms and meanings behind the names, so I think it´s top-notch :). I have learnt a lot and didn´t have to google much. the only thing I wasn´t sure about were the different names for the countries. (for example Dong Ying is Japan) and the Barbarians from the North are Mongolians. apart from that, everything is well explained :)
Well, it's very subjective, isn't it? Like I don't really like Priest's writing style. I always get distracted…
I didn´t doubt that people can enjoy different things, my question was more why concretely. but I can see from the answers that the story simply is more deeper on emotional level than SPL probably is.
